12oz bottle. Pours clear, red amber color. Thick tan foam, thin. Dry-hopped aroma. Scents of caramel malts. Sweet flavor, loads of sugary caramel, sharp bitterness, citrus hops. Creamy textured, nice. (3408)

12 oz. bottle from somewhere in Charleston. Ar: Aroma is light bread dough, moderate citrus, grassiness. Ap: 12 oz. bottle, shaker. Pours a lovely clear copper with a 1" frothy head that lasts quite a while. Good looking beer. T: Pretty moderate malt up front - notes of cereal and caramel. Finish packs a surprising wallop and is well bittered. P: Medium body, pretty assertive carbonation. Palate gives this a refreshing side. O: Packs more of a punch than I expected for a common (though I think I’ve only ever had one of these and that was a long time ago). Nice refreshing, well balanced beer.

UPDATED: DEC 18, 2011 This was purchased in Cahrleston in early November. It was not listed on ratebeer so I tried to get information from the brewer. I am glad to see it listed. We purchased some beer from Total Wine to bring home. This is tasty lager. It has wheat and malt flavors. The lager pours a clear golden color with a frothy head and lacing down the glass. Slightly bitter aftertaste with a smooth finish. Aftyershock had lively carbonation with medium body.

oobawa (626) - South Carolina, USA - DEC 2, 2011
Very nice, easy-drinking beer from Palmetto, in a style that gets way too little attention. Lagery, grainy nose, with a slight hop backbone, but that slightness grows greatly in the taste. The hops keep any unpleasant fruitiness from developing; rather, the beer finishes dry and bitter with some grain underneath. Well-layered, pretty, one of the brewery’s best.
