Solid performer, good head and lacing. Reasonable flavors a bit on the heavy side with the hops which was a bit off putting.

Sampled at an esbls tasting. Clear golden with a small white head. Almost no aroma but some hops bite at the first sip. Grain and malt are tasted. Not a lot to get excited over.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Foxbush (990) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - NOV 7, 2011
This is a much better everyday lager than many big breweries produce. I enjoyed this at the Charleston Place hotel in Charleston. Nice golden color with a 1/2 inch head in a pilsner glass. Malts and hops in good balance. Midium body with soft carbonation. This is lager for watching football games and you will hvaing more than three beers.

from the bottle. Gold in color with off white head. Light, somewhat bland aroma. Flavor is slightly sweet, creamed corn perhaps, with no bitterness and a light, watery feel. Finish is a bit off-putting, with a touch skunk. Overall neither unpleasing nor memorable.

Charleston Lager’s best feature, its looks, will keep you happy for a few seconds. Not too much positive after that.
1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Beer Snob (484) - Ontario, CANADA - SEP 1, 2010
When an icy cold beer on a 90 degree day with 90% humidity is as unsatisfying as this one, then there’s a problem.
Sight grassy aroma and a weak watery micro-beer taste that made way for a metallic tang.

Honey-colored with no head but lots of effervescence. Medium aroma of bread with a hint of metal. Balanced with a medium mouthfeel. Yeasty with a mild metallic finish. Just OK.
