Commercial Description:
The gold-colored Palmetto Charleston Lager is perhaps the company’s cleverest creation; it’s strong in flavor, crisp, with a fresh, clean finish (i.e., no lingering aftertaste), but light enough so you could drink it just about all day. Yeast and a cool fermentation are what make a lager a lager, and Palmetto’s is among the smoothest, mellowest around.

12 oz bottle (thanks DecaturStevo!). Pours a clear gold with almost no head. Nose is typicall prem lager with lots of honey, vanilla and sweet smelling malt. Taste is...hmmm premium lager taste, lol! I always have trouble describing lagers flavors...either they are good or they are bland. This one is pretty good. Well carbonated, light/medium body. Easy to drink. Great gateway beer to pass out to your macorswill neighbors.

Bottle: premium lager mainstream beer syle: bright gold color, distinctly malty with some hops, soft carbonation, low bitterness. Easy to drink. I’m not a huge fan of the style, but this is much better than many other better known premium lagers. I liked the brewery bar. Nice place.

With the other brews measuring up pretty well I don’t understand the need for this one. i guess they felt they need a mainstream offering, too bad!!!

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jerc & tupalev -- courtesy of tupalev. Pours a clear gold with a spare white head. Sweet aroma of grain and mild sourness. Sweet watery grainy flavour. Light bodied. No sir, I don’t like it.

Bottle (12oz). Shared with blankboy, GregClow, jerc and tupalev - tupalev’s bottle. Pale gold with an average quick diminishing white head. Pretty ehh honey-sweet grainy aroma (rolled oats?), with some light dried out fainly floral hops; clean, at least. Tastes pretty much the same, with appreciable alcohol for some reason - again, weak but not offensive. Sharply fizzy mouthfeel combined with watery sugary sweetness and a quick finish - not an ugly beer, but I’d have to squint to get this to a 3.

Bottle shared with blankboy, jerc, HogTownHarry & tupalev - courtesy of tupalev. Bright golden colour with a small white head. Sweet, slightly grainy aroma - OK, but nothing special. Light body. Sweet, cloying flavour - not refreshing. Didn’t care for this one much at all.
