COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The gold-colored Palmetto Charleston Lager is perhaps the company’s cleverest creation; it’s strong in flavor, crisp, with a fresh, clean finish (i.e., no lingering aftertaste), but light enough so you could drink it just about all day. Yeast and a cool fermentation are what make a lager a lager, and Palmetto’s is among the smoothest, mellowest around.

Decent, much better than the pale lagers. Slightly sweet flavor. Smooth and easily drinkable, but lacking in taste. Not very memorable.

Pours golden with a frothy white head. Tastes smooth and a little sweet. There are finishsing hops are present but they dont add to the aftertaste. Dfrinkable.

12oz - Gift from Emma. Deep gold on pour, no head but some lace. Slight leathery smell on nose. Nothing really there on palate, slight green apple acidity.

Bottle courtesy Jmichael. Pours a clear coppery amber with a lacy off-white head. A bit of nuts and toffee in the mild aroma with just a touch of resinous hops a couple of blades of new-mown grass behind them. Light body without being watery and medium carbonation without being fizzy. A bit of toast in the taste, but the palate moves along to the finish in fairly short order. More bitterness in the finish than I had expected for the style. Kinda nice!

Pretty good, and perfect for a godawful hot week in Columbia in July. Nutty malt taste makes it a very satisfactory alternative to the macros.

Bottle. Gold-colored with a nice white head. Pretty good carbonation. Actually drank this last year on vacation. Not a great beer but, better than the mass-produced swill put out by the big boys. I like lagers and I can drink this one.

This is a good premium lager. This style may not be a favorite but this beats most that I have tasted. Aroma of corn. Highly carbonated taste of corn, sugar, metal and grass. Scoop up what you find on a barnyard floor and this is what you got. I know it doesn’t sound like it, but not bad for the style

Had this in the bottle at the Mellow Mushroom, Charleston. Golden color. aroma of corn. Smells a little green/ fresh grass. Too fizzy for me. Perfect for an AB drinker to have if they want to feel like they’re on vacation.

This is a decent little lager. This pour out golded with an average white head. Armoma is slightly sweet, slighty like corn just roasted and some grass. Taste is actually pleasing with some light grassy and hay notes. Little bit more carbonated but not too badly. Finished with a surprising little bitter but clean kick. Exceeded my expectations.

This beer does not have a lot of taste, but this is not such a bad thing. A great summer beer when you are listening to David Allan Coe and discussing the socio-political situation of Darfur.
