| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 1, 2006 12 oz bottle at Hominy Grill in Charleson, SC. A fizzy quick-receding snowy head caps the clear, medium amber body....light lemon sourness touches the grainy fresh nose, and faint floral hops provide interest.....lovely Munich malts are a solid, supportive background on the tongue for a smooth-drinking experience, with light sweetness upfront and dry fine herbal-hoppy crispness towards the finish....clean, slightly on the thin side, very refreshing. | 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 5, 2006 Bottle (12oz). Shared with blankboy, GregClow, jerc and tupalev - tupalev’s bottle. Pale gold with an average quick diminishing white head. Pretty ehh honey-sweet grainy aroma (rolled oats?), with some light dried out fainly floral hops; clean, at least. Tastes pretty much the same, with appreciable alcohol for some reason - again, weak but not offensive. Sharply fizzy mouthfeel combined with watery sugary sweetness and a quick finish - not an ugly beer, but I’d have to squint to get this to a 3. jerc (3966), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
