Bottle from my brother from a Hilton Head trip. Pours dark brownish black with minimal khaki head. Nose is roasty dark malt, huge coffee, hot peppers of the chili and jalapeno variety. Tastes roasty choc malty, with notes of coffee and chili pepper in the finish. Iím pretty sure no hot peppers were used in this, but it damned well tasted like it , and it tasted good, stubby.

Draft at Brewvival. Dark brownish maroon color, almost flat. Aroma of cofee, nutella. Taste is espresso and dark chocolate.

12 ounce bottle pours a cocacola brown color with esspresso, roast, light chocolate and sweet malt. Flavors are mostly light esspresso with some sweet malt thrown in. Thin on the palate for my liking of a porter but a nice beer overall.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Charleston Beer Exchange, 12/7/12

Aroma:†The nose is coffee malts, with some caramel and chocolate notes as well
Appearance:†It pours a nice clearish brown color with a slight orange hue and a beige head
Flavor:†The taste is a little sweet and a little roasty, fairly malty, with a light coffee bitterness
Palate:†It has a medium body, leaning light, it is smooth, creamy, and a little chalky, and a lightly dry finish
Overall Impression:† This one felt pretty solid to me. It has a nice mouthfeel and a decent flavor. Thereís a nice coffee component as youíd expect. Solid stuff, but Iíve had plenty of more interesting coffee beers.

Bottle. Thanks karstenborg for sharing! Pours almost clear brown with a medium beige head. Mostly roasted bitter coffee notes in aroma and flavour. Coffee Bean like finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very dark with a lot of coffee flavor. Thick but with no head. The nose had a bit of hops but mostly dominated by coffee, leather and malt notes. It had a decent mouthfeel, not too smooth, and finished quickly. If you like coffee -- really like coffee- then check it out. If youíre not a coffee fan, stay away.

Pours a dark brown with a small tan head that fades rather quickly. Huge aroma of fresh coffee, chocolate and toffee. Taste of iced coffee and bittersweet chocolate up front with hints of black liquorice and dark fruit. Somewhat thin on the palate with a bit too much carbonation. Finish is a slightly bitter (but nice) coffee taste that lingers for a few moments. Definitely recommended for the Porter fans out there! Very well done.

12oz bottle. Pours very dark brown\ black. Thin ring of tan foam. Aroma of green coffee beans. Not much scent of roasted malts or anything else just beans, maybe some peppers. Loads of roast in the flavor of the beer. Heavy coffee roast bitterness, burnt grain character. Well balanced. Creamy texture, thin bodied. An excellent Porter, at the first sip. I just canít believe the intensity of the coffee bean aromas. (3409)

Bought a 12fl oz bottle of this @ The QuarterDeck in Sea Pines Resort (Hilton Head Island, SC) for $5. Poured from the Red/Orange/Yellow Labeled bottle w/ a Palmetto tree on the front into a 12oz Tulip Glass. Has no sign of a freshness date on the bottle. Aroma- Very roasty and has a very unfamiliar coffee aroma. Must be their local roaster blended into the brew. Appearance- Pours a .5 finger head that dies almost immediately. Has a deep, opaque brown body and leaves a few suds behind on the glass. Flavor- Very malty and coffee roast apparent as well. Has a sweet beginning to end taste and a light bitterness level. Mouthfeel- Light-Medium Bodied, Medium Carbonation, Roasty, and has one of the highest Coffee/Roast endings of any porter Iíve had to this day! Very nice! Overall Impression- Wow! For not ever hearing about this Porter, the coffee ending was huge! Highly recommend for those porter fans and looks like this one is widely available in SC.
