Bought a 12fl oz bottle of this @ The QuarterDeck in Sea Pines Resort (Hilton Head Island, SC) for $5. Poured from the Red/Orange/Yellow Labeled bottle w/ a Palmetto tree on the front into a 12oz Tulip Glass. Has no sign of a freshness date on the bottle. Aroma- Very roasty and has a very unfamiliar coffee aroma. Must be their local roaster blended into the brew. Appearance- Pours a .5 finger head that dies almost immediately. Has a deep, opaque brown body and leaves a few suds behind on the glass. Flavor- Very malty and coffee roast apparent as well. Has a sweet beginning to end taste and a light bitterness level. Mouthfeel- Light-Medium Bodied, Medium Carbonation, Roasty, and has one of the highest Coffee/Roast endings of any porter Iíve had to this day! Very nice! Overall Impression- Wow! For not ever hearing about this Porter, the coffee ending was huge! Highly recommend for those porter fans and looks like this one is widely available in SC.

pours black with an off white head that quickly disappears. the aroma is roasty, with strong coffee notes. the flavor is roasted barley, caramel, and strong after tones of coffee on the finish. As the palate is a thin to medium body, that finished smooth, with very little bitterness. Overall this is pretty good.

This is my first try at this type of beer but it definitely was enjoyable. First had it on draft at a local oyster roast so temperature may have something to do with the aroma and overall taste. Also bought a 6 pack at the local grocery store and the taste was not as pronounced as the draft. Coffee lover so this was right up my alley with the expresso.

Some coffee aroma. Mouthfeel is flat and fairly thin bodied for a porter. Not much coffee taste compared to other coffee based beers.

Bottle. Pours black. Light beige head. Nose/taste of fresh coffee beans, espresso, cocoa and vanilla. Body is a little on the thin side. Finishes with fresh coffee beans and burnt black malt.

The aroma is chocolate cookie dusting. Hazelnut and coffee grounds. Sweet caramel. The appearance is glassy reddish-brown. Thin-bodied, not too substantial. The flavor is like when coffee grounds fall into the mug. A little nutty, but with a sweet toffee undertone. Itís sweet with some cold coffee elements. The palate is buttery and oily. Similar to a brown ale. Drinkable but much sweeter than expected. Iced coffee.

Man this is a very watery beer, all you taste is burnt roasted coffee. The coffee is pretty tasty but there is no more flavors going on
