12oz bottle. Minimal beige head atop cola dark brown body. Aroma is moderately sweet, coffee/espresso, light milk chocolate. Taste is moderately sweet, coffee/roast, some milk/bittersweet chocolate, light nut. Light-medium body, light creamy, low carbonation.

12oz bottle @PreJam Gathering-pours a tan head and black color. Aroma is chili, peat/roasty/coffee-dark malt. Taste is chili, peat/roasty/coffee-dark malt, secondary earthy hops.

A dark reddish brown porter with a thick moka head. In aroma, loads of coffee grinds over caramel malts. In mouth, a smooth coffeee porter with nice herbal hops, coffee grinds, quite nice. On tap at Brewvival, Feb. 26 2011.

Draft at Brewvival. Dark brownish maroon color, almost flat. Aroma of cofee, nutella. Taste is espresso and dark chocolate.

Bottle from my brother from a Hilton Head trip. Pours dark brownish black with minimal khaki head. Nose is roasty dark malt, huge coffee, hot peppers of the chili and jalapeno variety. Tastes roasty choc malty, with notes of coffee and chili pepper in the finish. I’m pretty sure no hot peppers were used in this, but it damned well tasted like it , and it tasted good, stubby.

Draft at Brewvival 2012. Pours all head. Creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of coffee, roasted malts, leafy hops. The taste is roasted malts, chocolate and coffee. Medium bodied. Nice beer.

Bottle. Thanks karstenborg for sharing! Pours almost clear brown with a medium beige head. Mostly roasted bitter coffee notes in aroma and flavour. Coffee Bean like finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours black. Light beige head. Nose/taste of fresh coffee beans, espresso, cocoa and vanilla. Body is a little on the thin side. Finishes with fresh coffee beans and burnt black malt.

Bottle. Typical American porter pour ... dark brownish, black, thin head. Aroma straight from the office coffee pot. Drinks with a stark, java-based bitterness, unusually delicious. Good example of a coffee-based dark beer. Love it. (#5017, 5/10/2013)
