Grainy malt and caramel nose. Grainy malt flavor with some citrus and earthy hop character in the finish. Would like to try this one fresh before the hops go south. Cletus (5052), Connecticut, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Sep 7, 2009 Bottle. Medium gold body with a fizzy, off-white head, mostly diminishing. Caramel, toasted grain aroma with a note of floral hops. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes ligtly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Tastes of bready malts with sweet caramel followed by bitter leaves. Medium body, velvety texture, moderate carbonation. Nice bitter bite at the end, but overall overly sweet. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 6, 2009 On tap at the Noisy Oyster in charleston, SC. Golden with little head and only slight lacing. Flavor was lightly malty with a nice hoppy bitter ending. Reminded me of Sierra Nevada with a bit more of a hop presence. Easy to drink in this humid weather. brewski519 (404), Morrisville, North Carolina, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 22, 2009 From a 12 oz bottle - maybe this pale ale tasted so good because it was enjoyed while on vacation in the beautiful city of Charleston - aroma of citrus, malt, hops and pine. Taste was nice and hoppy (almost an IPA in my opinion) along with apricots, peach, pine and caramel sweetness. Lots of lacing. Very refreshing brew on a hot, humid day in S.C.
