Nice coloring and noticeable hopping make this a decent beer. However, it is a tad bit unoriginal in a croweded market for micro pale ales.

UPDATED: JUN 28, 2004 Thanks to the generosity of Ross I’m able to sample beer from a state I spent allot of time in when I was too young to consume it. Very Nice APA!!! Hoppy, bitter, faint hint of sweet tea behind the potent hops. Smooth and very drinkable. Great beer, First beer of Ross’ shipment I think I chose a good one to start of with. If you haven’t had this beer, maybe you should.

Medium sized offwhite head, good retention and minimal lace. Hazy orange color. decent hop nose, lightly citrusy with a touch of malt. Med/light body. Light malt and hop flavors, lightly toasty malts. Finish is dry. A quaffable brew. My thanks to Impreza.

Orane-amber color with white head that fades quickly but leaves nice lace. Lovely hops aroma. Hints of the pine forest of the Carolinas. Moderate hops flavor-more citrusy, well balanced. Wish I'd discovered it sooner.

A preety nice representation of a pale ale from Palmetto. Has the standard hoppiness with a nice finish as well.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled. Poured a slightly hazy orange color with a small white head. This one has very little flavor - I wish it had more hop flavor and some more malts so that it could remotely compete with Sierra Nevada. A good crisp pale.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: APR 28, 2004 Off-white head. Loose lace. Sweet tea best describes the color. The aroma is floral and of hops. The taste follows all the way. The malts are hidden, slightly due to a lemon/cirtus linger. A very good beer and slightly under-rated.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Darker tea color. Fairly bitter taste -- almost too biteer -- with hints of citrus. Reasonably good head that persists. Lasting aftertaste.

Thanks Matt for the beer: Orangy amber hue with good frothy light brown head and good lace. Aroma hinted of buttered toast, piney and floral hops, mild fruit and spice. The taste starts smooth and sweet with nice malt presense. The finish added a touch of pine and bitterness, hint of spice as well. Overall, this is a quaffable brew that you can drink two or three of in a session.
