Aroma is mostly nutty roasted malt with some undistinguished hops. Flavor is same. Palate is light-medium, with a slight hop tingle. Tasty, but not exciting. Still, it’s one of the better brews of SC. pojo41 (315), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA

You can still taste the malt while not being overwhelmed by the hops. Overall, a very drinkable pale ale. tupalev (2612), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 10, 2007 Bottle. Hazy orange, small slick white head with bubbles. Nice aroma of grapefruit like citrus hops, maybe a bit of tea. Taste is surprisingly quite bitter - lots of hops, this time more orange citrus in nature I didn’t really care for the light malt background, it had an interesting sweetness that just didn’t mix well with the bitterness. But this light to medium bodied APA finished well, with a long tip of your tongue bitter linger. A nice beer from these guys. LinusStick (1833), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 8, 2007 The best beer yet on my trip to Myrtle Beach (other than their porter). Deep amber pour with a 1 finger white head. Aroma of grassy hops. Taste was grass, hops with just a teensy bit of malt. Not bad. Braudog (3753), Dayton, Ohio, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 29, 2007 Bottle. Orange-amber with a thin but foamy top; wispy aroma of a hop flower, the flavor is slightly more aggressive, but not much. Citricly hoppy but tight, with a nice melodic balance. Nice tarty edge defines this beer. Well done. (#2816, 4/22/2007) bigred024 (26), South Carolina, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 29, 2007 A decent deep and bright orange color. Has brilliant hops to add a bitter flavor. Very decent pale ale. Foxbush (456), Richmond, Virginia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Apr 14, 2007 Purchased six pack while visiting USC with my daughter. Geens is a major liquor and beer supplier near USC. This Pale Ale has an inviting golden color with a smallish head and lacing down the glass. The hop flavors of mild grapefruit were evident. The finish was smooth with some bitterness. My son and I enjoyed this ale after the spring gamecocks spring game. This is my first Palmetto beer. I am looking forward to trying their other products.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 22, 2007 Pours golden with a fully receding off-white head. Aroma of mild grapefruit, lightly acidic, green hop leaf. Taste is grainy (in a good way), lightly acidic, and lightly hoppy. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with full carbonation. Good beer from a pitiful beer state.
