| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 9, 2009 Golden-amber. Fruity, sort of blueberryish aroma. Moderately bitter, with berries. It’s got a woody dryness, light caramel & breadcrust malts along with that. OK, none too exciting. argo0 (6891), Washington DC, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Nov 21, 2004 Hazy amber body with minimal white head. Aroma is medium sweet, caramel, grapefruit. Taste is medium sweet, toffee, grapefruit. Watery light-medium body. Not sure what others see in this beer, but this one did not appeal to me at all. hopscotch (5474), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 18, 2004 Deep amber ale with a small, wispy, off-white head. The nose is of sweat, jalapeno or habenero pepper and earth. The flavor is moderately bitter with a strong hop bite. Grass and straw or hay. Medium-bodied with an astringent mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Lengthy, bitter finish. This beer is just too bitter without any sense of purpose or complexity. Hopped up solely for the sake of being hopped up. bu11zeye (5442), Frisco, Texas, USA

Huge lasting fine-bubbled tan head atop a nice rustic amber body....very spicy, hoppy aroma with orange-peel, lemon juice and lots of dried pine needles for a vital aromatic experience....smooth, clean, fairly sweet front with touches of molasses and lightly toasted malts....rather dry and bitter finish, somewhat watery and a bit too thin, nevertheless a reasonably solid, respectable pale ale.
