This hop flavor and aroma of the truly American cascade hop distinguishes this beer.

Good beer. Golden hue, decent head on pour out of bottle. Balanced dry hopping. Not explosive hops--a rarity with American pale ales these days.

Head was an off white orangy color with a nice taste, better then most Pale Ales. Very Hoppy and Dry, like any other Pale Ale. The mouthfeel is quite viscusy. This beer was good for an every day beer, but no mastery brew. The palate fell quite on the thin side for me.

Color is reminiscent of a good ipa. Head diminishes quickly hops almost too pronounced for a pale ale. Would have given it a better rating as an ipa. Itís all in the name.... Sitting here in chas though so when in Rome...just a good beer- not great, not bad

Had this in a local bar in Mt Pleasant. Great local beer, would drink again, when in Rome...

Copper color with small white head. Aromatic - mostly of citrus hops, but there is a nearly hidden sweet (caramel?) malt. Initial flavor is mostly a hoppy tang, but there is an element of subtle sweet maltiness. Has an overwhelming metallic aftertaste.

Bottle. Nice copper-colored beer with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. You can still taste the malt while not being overwhelmed by the hops. Overall, a very drinkable pale ale.

On tap, poured into a shaker. Light aromas of caramel, grapefruit, and toast emanate from this one. Itís a clear, effervescent gold-honey color with a fluffy white head that disappears slowly and leaves a good lace. Itís a medium bitterness with a medium-light sweet. The medium full body has a smooth texture with a fizzy carbonation. It finishes dry with flavors of grass, citrus peel, toast, and burnt caramel. The dry burnt toast and citrus peel sticks around in the aftertaste.

Tap. Medium Amber Color. Foamy white head. Some lacing in the glass. Rich hop aroma, with a touch of grasses and wheat. Flavor was rich in hops and was crisp. Little harsh on the palate with the carbonation, but the rich flavor more than made up for the texture. Not bad at all.

Hazy and amber with a fairly thick off-white head. Aroma of pine and caramel malt, same kind of taste, hops present but not overwhelming. It tastes much better than that description, actually. Very drinkable, very flavorful, if a bit undramatic (nothing punchy like Alpha King, in other words). Good to excellent American pale ale.

Sample draft at 2012 Columbia World Beer Festival. Evergreen hop aroma and flavor. Citrus and a bit of berry, ginger and lemon.
