| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 21, 2008 Bottle courtesy of a traveling colleague. The beer pours a clear copper color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily. Small patches of lace on the glass. The aroma is hoppy with a bit of citrus in the background. Medium-bodied and moderately bitter with a somewhat astringent hops flavor, along with light citrus and malt behind it. The finish is hoppy and does not linger long. Not a bad beer, although I wish I could have done a little better for my first brew from SC. 5000 (2900), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 28, 2005 Bottle pours translucent golden, small white frothy head, spotty lacing, with mild carbonation. Grain/cereal nose, not much hop in there. Dirty up front, quite grainy, blech. Body and mouthfeel are medium, bordering on the watery side. At least if its not going to be very hoppy, it does have a nice malt backbone. Finish is a bit astringent.   Only a mild bitterness on the tip of the tongue exists.   NEXT!

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 21, 2002 Lighter than I like in an APA, but still flavorful and well-balanced. An impressive beer from a ’non-progressive’ beer region. Has some juicy hop flavors that seem to complement its semi-sweet malt presence; I only wish there were more of both. Nevertheless, it’s very easy to drink and I found it to be one of the better (bottled) offerings from South Carolina. Beershine (2754), Traipsing Around, China
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 6, 2009 Draught. Clear coppery gold with small off-white head cap. Balanced, straightforward slightly metallic earthy aroma. Crisp refreshing nice hop kiss at finish. Good mouthfeel. nick76 (2695), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Feb 25, 2008 The aroma is hoppy but in a metallic way. There is also some lightly roasted caramel malt. The appearance is deep amber with a smaller head. The flavor is like the aroma and astringently bitter so it’s not great. The palate is smooth. Overall I think it’s drinkable but thats all. tupalev (2618), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 10, 2007 Bottle. Hazy orange, small slick white head with bubbles. Nice aroma of grapefruit like citrus hops, maybe a bit of tea. Taste is surprisingly quite bitter - lots of hops, this time more orange citrus in nature I didn’t really care for the light malt background, it had an interesting sweetness that just didn’t mix well with the bitterness. But this light to medium bodied APA finished well, with a long tip of your tongue bitter linger. A nice beer from these guys. Nate (2575), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 12, 2003 Had a weak aroma - limited malt and hops smells - slightly stale. Maybe cause I had to wait for it to warm up in a frosted mug. Deep amber clear with small foamy white lacing head. Medium watery body and medium carb. Mellow malt flavor, not too sweet up front. Big hops gives nice bittering finish with a nice nutty bitter after. An OK APA. jgb9348 (2515), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Nov 2, 2003 Copper colour with orange highlights and an off-white head. Nice aroma of hops, malt and even some nutmeg. Medium-bodied; Strong medicinal taste initially, followed by some malt and stale hops. Aftertaste has more astringent taste and a sort of hoppy ending. Overall, a good beer...needs some work though! I owe a large thanks to Mabdoney for this one...cheers Matt! I sampled this 12 ounce bottle on 02-November-2003.
