more of a sticky bitter taste then anything dry but not as hoppy as I would have expected

Copper colour with orange highlights and an off-white head. Nice aroma of hops, malt and even some nutmeg. Medium-bodied; Strong medicinal taste initially, followed by some malt and stale hops. Aftertaste has more astringent taste and a sort of hoppy ending. Overall, a good beer...needs some work though! I owe a large thanks to Mabdoney for this one...cheers Matt! I sampled this 12 ounce bottle on 02-November-2003.

Copper-orange. Nose generically hoppy, flavor similarly so, a not particularly pleasant lightly sweet and astringent finish.

pours copper with a decent sized white head, aroma was mostly malt, the taste was malt and carbonation, yet this beer is better than most macro brewed, its far from being great.

Bottle courtesy of Unclemattie: Poured a hazy amber color ale with a small head with minimal retention and no lacing. Aroma of light caramel malt is somewhat weak. Taste is dominated by some light caramel malt with no discernable hops presence. Full body with some medium to low carbonation. I guess this one is OK but nothing truly extraordinary.

Overall it works, its has a medium body with decent malty flavors and a overall presence of pine hops. its for a casual drink.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Charleston Beer Works, 12/8/12

Aroma:†The nose has lots of sweet malts, some caramel, fruity notes, yeast, and toffee
Appearance:†This one pours a slightly hazy golden-orange color, with a foam laced off-white head
Flavor:†The taste is pretty sweet, with some fruity notes, and a slightly metallic bitterness
Palate:†This beer has a medium body, with a soft carbonation, and a lengthy, off, metallic finish
Overall Impression:† Overall, this one was not a favorite for me. It is missing any of the wanted citrus or resiny hop bitterness that one might enjoy in this style. Also, it just doesnít come off clean at all, and the metallic feel takes away from the enjoyment. I didnít hate it, but it was a mediocre at best example of the style for me.

12 oz bottle. (The Greenville Beer Exchange) Greenville, SC.
Hazy mid-brown colour with a small off-white head. Sweet fruity hops and strong sweetish malt in the aroma. The flavour is sweet floral and fruit tea like hops, mild butterness and strong maltiness. A malty APA.

Pours a light color color with a white head. Aroma is sweet slightly fruity with a hint of some hops. Flavor is sweet, fruity, with a light earthy bitter finish.

The aroma is hoppy but in a metallic way. There is also some lightly roasted caramel malt. The appearance is deep amber with a smaller head. The flavor is like the aroma and astringently bitter so itís not great. The palate is smooth. Overall I think itís drinkable but thats all.
