Monger (474), Roscoe, Illinois, USA Apr 5, 2008 Bottle. Pours an orange-amber color with a frothyheap. Aroma of hops, pine and grapefruit. The flavor is slightly more aggressive, but not much. Citricly hoppy but tight, with a nice melodic balance. Nice tarty edge defines this beer.
CanIHave4Beers (208), Des Moines, Iowa, USA Sep 12, 2008 I had this with a grip of seafood on Hilton Head. It was fantastic. Good floral aroma, nice fluffy white head, hazy amber color. Taste was fruity and nice and bitter. It was very crisp and refreshing and went well with my meal, and if I were anywhere where I could buy it, I would buy it again! beerbill (1321), Laurel, New York, USA Sep 2, 2008 12 oz. bottle at Mellow Mushroom, Charleston, SC. Pours a hazy amber with a thin off-white head that disappeared after the first sip. Very light, indescript aroma. Hard to pick anything specific. Flavor is typical for a pale ale with malt followed by some moderate hops bitterness towards the finish. kassner (184), Wexford, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 15, 2008 Could only get abottle at Shem Creek. No head at the table for dinner, no lacing, amber color, nice hops with some but not a lot of florals, a very slight licorice in the bitter finish Dogbrick (2266), Columbus, Ohio, USA Jul 21, 2008 Bottle courtesy of a traveling colleague. The beer pours a clear copper color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily. Small patches of lace on the glass. The aroma is hoppy with a bit of citrus in the background. Medium-bodied and moderately bitter with a somewhat astringent hops flavor, along with light citrus and malt behind it. The finish is hoppy and does not linger long. Not a bad beer, although I wish I could have done a little better for my first brew from SC. Ron (751), Rochester, New York, USA Jun 16, 2008 Received one in a trade with JB and my brother brought one back from Myrtle Beach for me that someone left in his fridge. I had it at a party and it was not really cold. Aroma of hops, deep flavor of hops. Too many hops for me.
