prosqtor (408), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA Aug 11, 2007 A very decent APA. Drank from a bottle at the NAC in Columbia. Hoppy, orange in color, and crisp. Very nice for out on the balcony with some new friends.
Cletus (5002), Connecticut, USA Nov 1, 2009 Pours copper wit a thin tan head. Smells of caramel, some earthy splashes, spicy. Tstes peppery and spicy with some earthy notes and a dry finish. jcr (1137), Jasper, Indiana, USA Sep 7, 2009 Bottle. Medium gold body with a fizzy, off-white head, mostly diminishing. Caramel, toasted grain aroma with a note of floral hops. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes ligtly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Tastes of bready malts with sweet caramel followed by bitter leaves. Medium body, velvety texture, moderate carbonation. Nice bitter bite at the end, but overall overly sweet. HonkeyBra (1270), Lemont, Illinois, USA Aug 21, 2009 Golden pour. Sort of fruity aroma. Kind of blah flavor. Some hops, some fruit, some cereal grains. Basically an average, unspectacular pale. USCBeerMan (103), Columbia, South Carolina, USA Aug 8, 2009 Updated: Sep 13, 2009Bottled. Poured a slightly frosted orange color with a small white/ slightly off white head. Has very subtle but pleasant flavor. A good crisp pale.
KornDogg (168), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 26, 2009 more of a sticky bitter taste then anything dry but not as hoppy as I would have expected Drew (2406), Kent, Ohio, USA Jul 6, 2009 On tap at the Noisy Oyster in charleston, SC. Golden with little head and only slight lacing. Flavor was lightly malty with a nice hoppy bitter ending. Reminded me of Sierra Nevada with a bit more of a hop presence. Easy to drink in this humid weather. brewski519 (395), Morrisville, North Carolina, USA Jun 22, 2009 From a 12 oz bottle - maybe this pale ale tasted so good because it was enjoyed while on vacation in the beautiful city of Charleston - aroma of citrus, malt, hops and pine. Taste was nice and hoppy (almost an IPA in my opinion) along with apricots, peach, pine and caramel sweetness. Lots of lacing. Very refreshing brew on a hot, humid day in S.C. kkearn (994), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA May 19, 2009 12oz bottle. I had a few of these at a friend’s wedding in Charleston last weekend; this current bottle is from Charleston Beer Exchange. Pours transparent amber, capped with a medium-sized off white head that fades gradually to a thin layer of bubbles. Aroma is primarily caramel, with notes of crystal malt, grapefruity hops, and some pepper. Flavor is bready and malty, with flowers, pine and grapefruit. Finish is a bit astringent.
