COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Atlas Double I.P.A. is exactly what people around the US and the world are looking for in a big hoppy bold West Coast D.I.P.A., but with the drinkability you do not find in a lot of beers this style. We have balanced the strong bitterness you would expect this beer to have with huge dank aromas and a malt back bone that makes this beer so easy to drink. "This beer is right up my alley" is what Stone Brewing Founder Greg Koch said upon drinking this tasty elixir of the gods, which could only be named after one.

Taste comprises orange pith, caramel malt forward, tropicana, light sweat, bitter hops. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, sweetish close with a boozey rinse. [5/3/14] Draught at Mikkeller & Friends in Copenhagen. Orange-amber. Aroma of citric and piney hops and some caramelly and biscuity malt. Sweetish flavor of caramelly malt and a bitter finish, hoppy, piney and resinous. Medium-bodied.

Nocturne (744) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAY 12, 2014
Tap at Taphouse, Copenhagen. Hazy amber shade with a white head. Aroma arrives with resinous hoppy notes. Sweet malt up front in the taste with resinous, grassy, piney hops following, plus grapefruit. Some fine elements so far, but the finish feels a little off and the overall balance doesn’t seem the best. Good though.
