Barley Legal Coconut Porter is a traditional American-style porter with a decidedly untraditional addition of coconut. The addition of just the right amount of coconut gives this porter a velvety smooth mouth feel with just a bit of coconut flavor at the end. A full-bodied porter, Barley Legal pours nearly pitch black with strong aromas and flavors of roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate and a slight hint of coconut milk. So drinkable it’s barely legal.

650 ml. bottle shared by Kraddel. Thanks! Dark brown, small mocha head. Nose is soy sauce, mocha, light roast, tad malt, dull umami-like taste. Tastes of soy sauce, light gravy, chocolate cookie, malt, cheap down, I’m not getting any coconut at all her, Light mocha body. Pretty weak stuff overall.

Herb malziger Antrunk, geringe Schokoladennoten. Im Mittelteil deutlich milder, kaum noch malzig, langweilig. Zum Ende hin röstig, wieder herber werdend. Entäuschend. 8/9/9/8/14/8
