Barley Legal Coconut Porter is a traditional American-style porter with a decidedly untraditional addition of coconut. The addition of just the right amount of coconut gives this porter a velvety smooth mouth feel with just a bit of coconut flavor at the end. A full-bodied porter, Barley Legal pours nearly pitch black with strong aromas and flavors of roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate and a slight hint of coconut milk. So drinkable it’s barely legal.

Sweet and fruity aroma. Sour, lemon and watery taste. Light bitterness which fills the upper part of the mouth a weak moment. Good beer. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Bottled at Porterfestivalen 2015, Göteborg. November 14, 2015.
Clear dark brown color, small teal head. Acidic, glue, smoked scent. Acidic sour taste. Salty mineral aftertaste. Fizzy mouthfeel, though mainly thin, no bitterness.
I really think this had an infection, drainpoured what I had in the glass. We opened another bottle that wasn’t as bad, still not good enough to actually rerate, perhaps infected bottles all of them shipped to the fest, or the beer is just that bad?

22 oz bottle. Thanks to Timo A! Dark reddish brown color with a small tan head. Dry roasted malt, ash, mild coffee and some sweetness in the aroma. The flavor is... ewww! It's gone bad. Sour mush... Unfortunately contaminated. No signs of bottled on or best before dates. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

65 cl bottle @ Timo A.
Pours dark ruby red color with a small head. Burnt malts and faint cocoa on the nose, some resin, vegetabley coffee and berries, this might have gone bad... And the taste confirms it, this is clearly contaminated, sour berries and cardboard on the flavor. Really disappointed, I was looking forward to tasting this.

Smell of chocolate, coffee. Black colour, high light brown head. Very roasted bitter, also sour. Aroma of cocoa, roasted malt, coconut. Feels more of a sourstout than porter. Surprisingly light (well, mid-heavy) body, soft but lively carbon.
