Bottle from Speciaal Bier Winkel, Bodegraven, Netherlands, Friday 26th September 2014, consumed at Staybridge Suites hotel apartments, Newcastle, Tuesday 30th September 2014. Pours murky, hazy light amber. A pleasant fuzzy, furry bitterness is a constant here and very good this beer is for that.

tricksta_p (1185) - Steenwijk, NETHERLANDS - SEP 19, 2014
Aroma of citrus, grass, barely existant juniper berries, hops. Flavour is grassy and hoppy with a potent bitterness in the aftertaste. Body is on the light side, a bit watery. Somewhat disappointing, I would have liked more pronounced juniper flavours.

sarauckelman (199) - Durham, Durham, ENGLAND - AUG 17, 2014
Clear amber with minimal head. Crisp, fresh aroma, with a hint of juniper. The taste and palate is quite harsh: bitter, grassy, drying, very vegetal.

uckelman (294) - Baden-Württemberg, GERMANY - AUG 17, 2014
Pours clear, golden, without much head. Hint of juniper in the aroma, but it’s mostly overwhelmed by the hops. Light body. Dry finish and medium bitter. I expected that a juniper ale would have significantly more juniper than this, but otherwise it’s alright.

33cl bottle from ’t Drankenhuys. Pale orange with a medium white head. Light to medium with moderate carbonation. Bitter sweet. Yeast, herbs, citrus, malts and grass. A refreshing somewhat hoppy brew.

Bottled, thanks Benzai! Fruity nose with citrus and notes of medicin. Mid dry with light-medium body and clean mouthfeel. Crystal malt, citrus and notes of juniper. Long resiny bitterness.

Maakun (682) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - MAY 11, 2014
Golden with small white head. Lots of aromatic hops, some spices, pine, green tea, lemon, juniper, light toast. Mostly a herbal bitterness with a light sweet touch. Light bodied, nice carbonation.

Russo (1685) - Campinas, BRAZIL - MAR 26, 2014
Hazy yellow color with a big white head that keeps a nice lacing. Aroma is sweet and hoppy with some citrus and pepper. Flavor is like aroma but a little bit more spicy with smoked notes, probably because the Juniper berries that I’ve just read about. Low to medium carbonationa and medium to full body with a hoppy finish. Good one!
