I’ve heard about this some time ago and I knew they were offering it at Zagreb Arena during the Medveščak hockey matches, then a friend told me they had it on tap at his local bar "Eden" in Zagreb. Pours black with creamy strong off-white head that lasted very long, which makes it a very good looking Dunkel. Aroma is rather weak, just some hints of caramel and roasted barley. It tastes nice although it lacks confidence, milky, chocolatey, a little watery, full mouthfeel, creamy. No real finish. Quite a nice surprise, I’ll love to have it now and then.

Bottle, pours brown and has a khaki head, better than their lager but not a great beer for this style.

Dark color. Medium head. Watery. Thin body. Weak aroma, no finish. Really bad Dunkel/Tmavy.

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2014 Dark brown color, medium sized head. Body and carbonation very similar to ordinary Pan lager, so that’s bad. Aroma is roasted malt and caramel. Maybe little bit too sweet. Well, not bad but... without any character.

Brown bodied with big brownish head. Aroma is rather weak, just some hints of caramel and roasted barley. Average beer.

I was expecting a lot from this new product, especially considering their ordinary lager is one of my favourites. But... Pours with a nice dark brown color and a small head. The aroma is basically hoppy with only a tiny amount of some roasted malts. The taste is almost exactly like the ordinary lager’s, the only difference is there’s some roastiness in the aftertaste. It’s not a bad beer, but it’s nothing different from the pale lager. Where is the malt, roasted feel, caramel.... There’s a lot of room to improve.

bottle 0.5l. Medium head, red- brown colour. Nice lacing. Aroma: carmel, little aroma of vinegar. In flavour almoust nothing special. Just little sweetness. If I am blind, I will think that this is blonde beer.

Well, solid beer. Bottled version was just little too sweet for me. Draft version was better. But in any case, it’s worth trying.

As Pan Tamni, on tap. Brown bodied with big brownish head that lasted for ages. Caramel, toasted malt, somewhat sweet aroma. Flavor was slightly sweet caramel and sugar, also roasted coffee to lesser degree. Medium to thin in body, with short, simple toasted finish. Some nuts here as well. Expected better, but not bad for the local standards.

Draught. Dark brown colored. Aroma is caramel, taste is a little bit metallic and sour, with low level of bitterness. Overall it is a good beer.
