3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
I’ve heard about this some time ago and I knew they were offering it at Zagreb Arena during the Medveščak hockey matches, then a friend told me they had it on tap at his local bar "Eden" in Zagreb. Pours black with creamy strong off-white head that lasted very long, which makes it a very good looking Dunkel. Aroma is rather weak, just some hints of caramel and roasted barley. It tastes nice although it lacks confidence, milky, chocolatey, a little watery, full mouthfeel, creamy. No real finish. Quite a nice surprise, I’ll love to have it now and then.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
500ml bottle in The Loft, Zagreb (18 kuna):
This on was an okay dark lager, I’d rate it as an improvement on the Pan Zlatni that I first tried a couple of years ago but it’s by no means a classic beer. Easy to drink without coming through as thin or weak, the beer was enjoyable with a nice balance & is one I wouldn’t be against picking up again if I was ever back in Croatia.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Darkish brown colored, medium tan lasting head. Aroma is not very strong, some caramel, nuts and honey. Taste is moderate sweet caramel, quite strong nuttiness and a choco roasty finish. Medium to low bodied, medium carbonation, a bit of honey like viscosity. I don’t understand all the hate, although I always drink it on tap... maybe I’ll update after a bottled trial.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
0.5l bottle. Color like coca cola with good looking, medium sized white-brown head. High carbonation keeps the foam constant. Aroma of caramel and dark chocolate. Taste is sweet at the beginning followed by nice bitterness. Better than other mass produced dark beers in Croatia.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Many thanks to kevnic2008. Smooth malty beginning. Quite dry and roasted. Nice. Hints of smooth bitterness, fresh, easy to drink with still deepness there. The aftertaste is roasted-dry, not too bitter, smooth without much sweetness. Nice!

Bottle at the airport. Dangling my feet in the water and squeezing the last ounce of sunshine out of my holiday. Quite a watery Tmavy. Some caramel and roast but not much happening really. Poor
