UPDATED: FEB 15, 2007 New review:
I got a 0.33l bottle of this for free with the pizza I ordered, so I decided to rerate it. This poured a yellow/golden colour with a thick 1cm big head that went away at a medium pace. The nose is grainy, with notes of honey. Not that great. Sweetish flavour, malty, notes of cardboard, lemon jelly and a weak weak touch of eggs and even (even weaker) alcohol. Not impressed at all. A lot sweeter than I remember it being, and definitely not a great beer. Sweetish aftertaste. More suited for teenagers for chugging it from plastic bottles than anything else. The score remains unchanged

Old review:
Hmph, the worst of the three most advertised Croatian lagers. It’s just ordinary looking, with a bitterish, but not really pleasant taste. There are a lot of better choices in Croatia. I remember someone saying that it was far better some years ago, and even with a smaller alc% that it had then.

Bottle. Pours Yellow with a fast disappearing white head. Cereal aroma with hoppy notes and remote notes of vinegar and yeast, the former being a bit disturbing. Flavour is slightly hoppy with grassy notes. A rather boring beer. 27-10-05.

(Bottled, BBE 06/2006) Slightly hazy, pale golden color with almost no head. Quite aggressive hay-grassy hopping in the aroma. Flavor of corny, sweetish malt, some hay-grassy hops and hints of butter. Astringent, crisp finish. Light-bodied, reasonably smooth palate with quite high carbonation. Clearly a Northern-German-like pilsener, and not a pale lager. Of course, it is quite lightweight and plain. The crispness is nice, although the body is lacking and the hopping a bit raw. Seems I got a fresh bottle, at least :)

UPDATED: SEP 16, 2007 Bottled. Yellow limpid and clearly color, discreetly fizzy. Compact and adherent head; medium duration. Light lemon and malty scent, light sour. Pungente and lively, modest bitter taste and gaunt malty rumors. Light alcohol exceeded from sour lemon notes and leaven notes. Medium end.

Bottled. Golden colour, mediumsized white bubbly head . Sweet nalty aroma with hayish hints. Sweet caramellish malty flavour with dry hoppy finish. A bit too sweet in my opinion.

UPDATED: JUN 16, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Nice golden in colour whereas the head is pretty much absent. High carbonation and a fine balance between malt and hops. Fairly decent lager. 150305
