2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Had this in a bottle so I didn’t see it. Aroma of yeast and coconut. Didn’t find it to very Belgian esque, which would be weird I think for a hefeweizen to begin with. I assume wit would be more fitting. In any case, I thought it did taste like coconut, and was a bit floral. Thick mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Meh.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at State Street Brats. Cloudy unfiltered yellow-tan. Thin, lacy white head. Mellow banana-wheat aroma. Medium bodied, standard in a good way. Clean and easy drinking. An easy session beer, straight down the middle of the palate. Almost US-wheaty at times, the banana isn’t super pronounced. Solid offering, but kind of forgettable.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Swirling bottom sediment surprize. Very nice hefe colored pour with rolling carbonation visbly apparent. Smells like simple clean beer. Yez, very friendly co2 on the palate, also. A little stronger than hefes I prefer but that sizzling co2 keeps it under wraps. I think I detect a tad of wildness in there. Not bad overall but the taste could learn some manners, not as mild as a heifer.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a brighter golden with a white head that doesn’t last very long. Aroma has a main impression of bubblegum, along grass and lemon. Taste includes orange, lemon, spice, and grass. But the overall feeling is the flavor of bubblegum. Aftertaste is perhaps the most pleasing and is very lemon. Although it is lighter, I can’t say that it is refreshing. Not the best.

2.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Nearly without head. Very belgianesque nose. Sweet earthy and slight barn aroma. No discernable hop presence. Slight malt with a dry finish. Sweet on the palate with fruity undertone. Noticeable wild yeast fermentation flavors. Definite farmhouse flavors.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
12oz bottle. Minimal white head, mildly hazy off-yellow color. A light clove and hint of banana aroma, but it’s very weak relative to other more well-known and respected hefeweizens. More pronounced sharp carbonation, dry texture. Light spiced sweetness. So far, not terribly impressed with what I’ve tried from this brewery. If it’s not local, then why does my Athens, OH Kroger carry 6 different varieties of this Wisconsin brew and only 2 varieties of Lagunitas? I can’t get ’nitas back in Cincinnati, this is a wasted opportunity for them
