COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
If there were ever a beer that so quintessentially captures the spirit of the primordial past on planet Earth, it has to be the Hop Nest Monster. Bursting with the aroma of the American Amarillo hop, like the eruption of a great and tempestuous volcano, the Monster makes a bold and intimidating impression even before it reaches the palate. As an all-malt American IPA, over an entire pound per barrel of fragrant and floral Amarillo hops are added to the brew kettle during the final minutes of the boil. This process is known as late-kettle hopping.

Golden with one finger head. Moderately hoppy, but maybe not as much as the name might imply. Not a lot going on other than the hops.

Poured cloudy amber with a pillowy white head. Aroma was a little off and the first couple of sips didnít really appeal to me or my taste but after getting Into this beer, I discovered an underlying sweetness that was wasnít there before. I like a bigger hop feel and taste but this beer was ok.

hazy (a bit chunky) golden with a pillowy white head. Not a great aroma, kind if a metal and floral scent. Malty with slight citrus hop taste and pretty strong floral hop. Itís not bad, but something is lacking.

Hazy orange tan with some sediment floating and a small white head. Aroma is sharp, resiny hops. The flavor is a harsh medicinal hops kick and a light grain malt flavor. Palate is best described as chalky and the finish is a sour bitterness. Didnít enjoy this one.

Aroma is citrus, yeast, bread and hops. The flavor is grapefruit-like hops, malts and and a moderately dry, bitter finish. The flavor all kind of muddled together, it was decent but the flavor profile could have been better.

12oz bottle. Mostly hazy yellow orange color, some sediment. Minimal white head, little lace. Light, crisp carbonation, drier texture. Resiny hop aroma, crisp and floral. Nice light bitterness. Decent IPA, but "bold" and "brazen" are generous terms for it. It is what it is: an extra-pale IPA. Which Iíve got to say, makes it a slight bit more unique than your typical, run-of-the-mill IPA. Itís drinkable, and was nice to enjoy with a spicy cheeseburger calzone from DP Dough.
