From a 3 oz taster served at the Old Fashiioned in Madison WI. Pours a dark cola with an ecru head. Roasted malt nose. Coffee and chocolate notes. Nice stout.

bottle. Near black with one finger head. I bet this would work well as a paint stripper. Boozy with smoke and lots of roasted malt. Clearly, I’m in the minority, but I think this is pretty lousy.

12 oz bottle: Pours dark, black nice light brown head, good CO2 release that lasts and slightly sticky to glass. Aroma of chocolate, dark roaste malts and resinous hops. Taste is salty and bitter, with good chocolate flavor and a hint of coffee. Slightly bitter finish, bubbly on the front, smooth and enjoyable to drink. REally good stout.

Very dark brown with a tall, fluffy, dark head. Aroma of roast, chocolate, a little smoke.... Flavour is malty chocolate, vanilla, cream. Coffee/nutty bitter. A good, solid, stout.

Smoky aftertaste killed the rating. The rest of the attributes are fairly solid - nice pour with a nice whitish brown head, solid dark brown color, initial flavor is good with chocolate taste.

Roasted smell with a dark color and thin dark head. Chocolate stout notes with a smokey aftertaste. Seems an average stout to me.

Bottle. Poured a deep dark brown with a small off-white head. Aroma was of malt and perhaps a bit of chocolate. The flavor followed this with a little more burnt malt to it. This is a decent run of the mill stout. Nothing to get too excited about.

Dark brown with hints of light shining through. Has an off white 1 finger head. Aroma is that of burnt caramel, dark chocolate and roasted malts. This beer first hits the palate with bitter chocolate and vanilla, followed by coffee and finishing with some mild bitterness. Mouthfeel is on the lighter side with carbonation on heavier side.

Bottle, pours jet black with dense taupe head, rich aroma of chocolate, espresso, some tobacco, flavor matches with full creamy flavors of cocoa and some moderate roast on finish, finishes moderately roasty and bitter. Very good

Pours pitch black with creamy head. Smells of coffee and roast malt with some aroma of licorice. Didn’t think this was going to be so good. Really great stout. Medium carbonation. A little nutty bitterness as well. Bottle
