Deep dark and robust stout. Strong dark chocolate lead with a coffee toffee finish. Sweet smell, but taste is more bitter sweet. Good stout. Black color with good pour and decent lacing. Enjoyed it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From the bottle, roasty and cocoa aroma..taste is chocolate and some bitterness and roast. It’s good!

Bottle - Pours black with ruby highlights and a thin-bubbled tan head. Nose is ashy roast, espresso, molasses, and some dark fruitiness. Taste is pretty mellow and smooth upfront--with dark fruit and dark roastiness--but bitter ash/coffee grounds come on pretty strong on the finish. Pretty thin-bodied, bordering on watery. Interesting, but would’ve liked it better with a thicker body and less bitterness.

Cigarette smoke at first, more smoke and port with further tasting, but still smoky. Frothy, moderate bitterness. Not hop driven--burnt with sour hints. 85% opaque with ruby on the black. (tap at Old Fashioned, Madison)

Poured nice and dark with a large tan head. Smelled of roasted oats, malt and some sugar. Had a coffee taste and a medium body. A bit of vanilla in there, too. Easy drinking.

For somereason difficult to find in the listings, but there it is, plain as day. Big black pour, nice presentation. Smells good and mildly charrry. Does not show its 7% alky content, fairly mild. Some bitter chocolate hiding in the background. Pretty good overall stout, not rude like so many want to be these days. Probably one of the better higher alky beers I’ve had lately. Civilized.

dark pour w/ a big thick almost grey colored head and nice lacing. Smell was typical of a stout, roast malts a hint of grass. Avg palate. Flavor was fine, just unispiring and a bit mild for a 7% stout.

Pours a dark black with milk chocolate head. Smell is vanilla, chocolate, roasted malts, coffee, sourness. First thing I taste is sour cherries, followed by roasted malts, a bit of sweet chocolate too. A nice above average stout.

Deep brown-black with light tan head. Roasted malt, dark fruit and cocoa. Flavor is lightly sweet and roasted malt, layered with dark fruit and semi-sweet chocolate. Slightly acidic, medium palate.
