A very nice stout, but too much coffee for my taste. Needs some more chocolate, maybe a touch of oatmeal and some fruitiness.

Date: August 22, 2011 Mode: Bottle Source: BVery, Burnsville, MN Appearance: Opaque dark brown, nice amount of tan head and good lacing. Aroma: Coffee and chocolate. Flavor: Consistent with aroma, thin to medium bodied, slight carbonation and slightly bitter finish. Other: A little too thin for me, but pretty good.

Bottle: very very dark reddish brown in the light, but black when I just look at it. It’s aromas are that of a malty chocolate, lots of sweetness coming through, and licorice. It has a nice tan head that sticks around. It’s not as roasty or chocolaty as I expected by it’s aroma and appearance. It’s just a nicely balanced sweetish stout, I actually really like it. It has a nice lively, carbonation that rounds it out as a great, drinkable, tasty beer.

12oz bottle, pours a very dark brown with a slight reddish hue in the light with a nice off white head with lacing, aroma has nice touches of malt with a touch of chocolate, the flavor has a nice front end of burnt malt with a finish of chocolate and a hint of coffee, I’m actually very surprised by this one and very happy with it.

Bottle to snifter. Pour is clear dark brown which appears black once in glass and leaves a soapy kahki head that dissipates to a collar. Aroma is bitter burnt malt and has some faint coffee notes as well. Taste is pretty nice starts bitter burnt roasted malt that leads into a little bit of chocolate and coffee. Palate is thin and gritty with a bitter dry finish. Not bad stout. I enjoyed this one a lot more than there IPA.

A new stout at my shop rite, what a plesant surprise! This is infinitely better (and better then infinium) then the Poland spring coupon that will print out when i pick up the next case of water. /Rant.
Bottle. Pours a dark bruin body with a tan head. Malty up front. Nice chocolate malt tones, hints of drier malt characters, roasted coffee and some light oats. Soft body light bitter roast with a light malty sweetness. Pretty dull overall sure it has some flavor but nothing really showcased. Still to me, it gets good marks as an easy drinking stout.

Pangaea’s gotta new fan. Aroma strong dark chocolate with a hint of coffee. Pours black with a light tan head. Taste is robust with chocolate with hints of espresso. Very roasty. Creamy on the palate with a fizz on the tongue. Enjoyable and would definitely buy again.
