4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: FEB 6, 2012 Bottled at Bishops Arms Folkungagatan, Stockholm. Cloudy orange, creamy but brief head. Extravagant tropical fruit hop aroma. Fairly sweet with light-medium body and clean, well rounded mouthfeel. Modern style ale where the caramelly malt is only there to support the delightful hops. Pineapple, peach, lychee and grapefruit dominates. Finishes with balanced bitterness. A competent APA. Not groundbreaking but tasty and highly functional. A perfect debute beer!
In a second bottle found at Urban Deli less than 30 minutes later the hop aromas were however clearly muddled by green apples.
Re-rate on Feb 6th 2012. Now with loads of fresh sweaty black currant hops. Light and crisp, hugely drinkable. Smashingly good, at least when this fresh.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Systembolaget, Globen.
Big bubbly off white head that stays. Rather clowdy golden color that would benefit from settling in the lager tank another week. Nice and fresh hop aroma from American and NZ hops that gives both tropcal fruit and some citrus aromas. Big aroma but not overpowering just lots of it. The hops also dominate the taste with much fruitiness but also a hint of sulphur from all the hops. Dry finnish and medium body makes it a very good APA.

Bottle shared with Hirigalzkar at Bishops Folkungagatan.
Pours amber with a offwhite head.
Aroma dominated by apples.
Smooth malty and a hint of bakers yeast, drinkable and to me more similar to an ESB than a APA.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A milestone! My number 1000 swedish beer! Bottle, thanks to omhper. Somewhat hazy golden beer with a nice lasting white head. Lovely Nelson aroma, fruity, pine apple, grass, citrus, grapefruit notes, quite evident hops but also sweetish notes. Hoppy fruity flavor, lots of grass, herbal notes, quite bitter, metal notes, Apples and some grapefruit. Bitter grass finish with citrus and grapefruit. Very nice complex APA.

Pines and citrus in the aroma. Very good for this beginner. Oily, but nice. Solid good pale ale.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JAN 27, 2012 Bottle. Don’t know if there was something wrong with this bottle. I could feel the rather strange green apple notes (that ompher writes about in his raiting) in the aroma aswell as the taste. But at the same time I could see some potential in this hoppy but balanced brew. I kind of enjoyed drinking it, even though the green, almost cognac-like, apple notes dominated the experience. It has got a charming homebrew feel to it.
Re-rated 120127: A lot better this time! Peach, apricots and orange cest notes. Some sweet caramel malts. Nice bitter finish! Very drinkable.
