COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Quickchange XPA is all about putting a big hop engine on a stripped down malt chassis. The delicate colour in the glass barely seems enough to support all those Mosaic, Galaxy and Citra alpha oils with their mango, guava, pineapple and lychee characters, but one sip should clear that misapprehension up.

On tap at Black Bunny Kitchen, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out floral and piney hops, backed by biscuity malt. Flavour brings out some melons, biscuity malt and light piney hops. Well-balanced and clean. Very nice.

GoufCustom (1614) - HONG KONG - APR 17, 2016

330 ml bottle bought at YATA in MOKO, Mong Kok.

Clear light straw golden colour; Less than one-quarter finger head with residual soapy white foam which fades in 20 seconds; Fair sticky lacing with active carbonation; Fragrant aroma of Ale malt, with strong passion fruits, strong lemon peels, strong floral, honey, grapefruits, light tangerines, earth and strong fresh grass; Mid to light sweet taste of Ale malt, with light grapefruits, floral, fair molasses, spices, dry biscuits, strong lemon, mid to strong bitter hops and strong grass; Medium body. Very slick palate; Mouth Feel is fair Ale maltyness in a quite thick, slightly soapy background. Moderate grapefruit and citrus set the tone, flowery with moderate sweetness. Biscuity and spicy with strong lemon to round. Fairly good... Hoppiness is strong passion fruits, strong lemon peels, strong floral, grapefruits, light tangerines, earth and fresh grass in nose. Grapefruits, floral, spices, strong lemon and strong grass in taste; Bitterness is close to strong for a lasting, mid to high astringent bitter floral finish; Fairly dry after taste. Citrusy and bitter to mouth.

Comments: This one’s focus is on fairly good tropical and citrus aroma. While the grapefruit and spice taste is quite solid, its body is lightweight and a bit soapy. Quite good APA-wise, but not outstanding.

Aroma of pineapple and tropical fruit, pours a clear gold color with a thin white head. A dry feel with a lighter body. Tastes of hops and a hint of pineapple. A mildly bitter finish.

Lots of tropical fruit aromas, peach mostly as well as a really sweet wild bush honey character in the malt, biscuit and bread. Moderate bitterness. OK beer.

Nice light pour with sweetish, hoppy nose. Whilst trying to determine the citrus and slightly floral notes, it occurred that I’d raced through the 500ml bottle. I wouldn’t be unhappy sipping another couple of these on the next available sunny afternoon...

hawthorne00 (3500) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JAN 15, 2016
Draught at Hawker Hall. Gold with a white head. Aroma has a mixture of tropical and citrus fruit, just a little pine and pepper. Fairly dry and very clean, which makes the moderately bitter finish snap but does emphasise the lack of body. Pleasant and food-friendly hoppy quaffer.
