COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
American-style muscle gets backed up here with real kiwi horsepower. A long, aromatic list of hops like Centennial, Citra and Simcoe should lead you to expect a massive bitterness and sensory hop presence, and you wouldn’t be far off that expectation at all. One for the hop heads.

On tap at Beer Deluxe, pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out citrus hops and biscuity malt. Flavour is quite citric and astringent, with citrus hops, some fruitiness and biscuity malt. A bit jagged, but pretty decent.

330 ml bottle bought at YATA in MOKO, Mong Kok.

Looks: Clear golden honey colour; Three-quarter finger head with soapy white foam which fades in 40 seconds; Excellent sticky lacing with slight carbonation.

Aroma: Very fragrant Ale malt, with strong passion fruits, strong grapefruits, strong citrus peels, light cat piss, floral, sugar, strong pine, resins, biscuits, lemon oil and strong fresh grass.

Taste: Mid to strong sweet Ale malt, with grapefruits, hop oil, strong floral, caramel, sugar, pine, resins, biscuits, strong lemon, quite strong bitter hops and strong grass.

Body: Mid to full body. Oozy and oily palate.

Mouth Feel: Good Ale maltyness in a very slick background. Strong caramel and sugary but countered by loads of Simcoe / West Coast hoppiness as in oily citrus, grapefruits, piney resiny fresh grass. Almost like a West Coast IPA. Very nice!

Hoppiness: Passion fruits, grapefruits, strong citrus peels, cat piss, floral, pine, resins, lemon oil and fresh grass in nose. Grapefruits, hop oil, floral, pine, resins, strong lemon and strong grass in taste; Bitterness is quitestrong for a lasting, mid to high astringent sweet-bitter finish.

After Taste: Fairly dry. Oily citrusy and bitter to mouth.

Comments: This is way better than the whimpy Quickcharge XPA, at least it taste like a proper APA - thick strong body with good maltyness, lots of Simcoe and Cs hops for nice citrus aroma and fruity oily resiny taste. This is probably one of the boldest APA I’ve had, and what a treat it is. Yes!

Orange pour, nice off white head. Aroma of citrus, grass, with big caramel backbone. Flavor of grass, flowers, pine, citrus, bread, caramel, earth. Very well balanced. Awesome full mouthfeel giving way (a little too quickly) to a fresh, bitter finish,

UPDATED: MAY 18, 2016 Bottle. Pours orange-gold with a finger of off-white head, a little lacing. A nice big tropical aroma, grapefruit, mango, citrus. Has a smooth, controlled grapefruit flavour, juicy with mild bitterness. A light-medium body, flavour holds well, almost trails into a watery end but the moderate hop bitterness holds it up. Good easy-going APA.

Amber orange with a fading head. Nose is pleasant tropical fruit and sweet malt. Taste is more resinous side with sweet malt still there as to help balance. Bitter finish. Really good NZ style APA.

UPDATED: MAY 1, 2016 I couldn’t pick the aroma - it was delicious and there was an unusual flower, something like boronia. I ran out of beer before I nailed it down, so will have to try again. 2nd time - the aroma was nothing too strong
