American-style muscle gets backed up here with real kiwi horsepower. A long, aromatic list of hops like Centennial, Citra and Simcoe should lead you to expect a massive bitterness and sensory hop presence, and you wouldn’t be far off that expectation at all. One for the hop heads.

5.7%ABV. APA. Poured out clear light amber. 8ºSRM. Nose has citrus in abundance with grapefruit, ripe lemons, pomelo, lime. There are also nice pine accents, pine oil and fresh herbs, smelling like fresh salsa or a tabouleh, hints of cilantro, parsley and scallion. Mouthfeel is soapy. Palate has pale malt body with Graham cracker, pie crusts, lightly browned toast and bread crumbs. Hops are citrus and spice. Citrus: grapefruit peel, lemon zest, grapefruit seeds. Spice: coriander, wild scallion, parsley. Finish is long with a spicy middle tapering into a lingering back of the tongue bitter with a bit of resinous stickiness. Goes on Favorites List!

Keg at Craft 100, 06/10/16. Golden orange with a decent off white head. Nose is toasted malts, bitter orange, caramel, straw. Taste is malt forward, orange peel, grains, bread dough, light melon, lemon rind, hint of pine. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close dashed with earthy hop bitterness. Decent enough regulation APA, again an old skool US brew pub lilt to this as per their IPA (Yank Tank).

Cellar clean out session Pt Deux. Light haze on this orange - amber beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and has decent fine carbonation. Light malts, sweetish. Trace of grain. Hops are a reasonable orange and orange peel. Mild hop spice. Light semi dry finish. Very serviceable APA.
