COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
American-style muscle gets backed up here with real kiwi horsepower. A long, aromatic list of hops like Centennial, Citra and Simcoe should lead you to expect a massive bitterness and sensory hop presence, and you wouldn’t be far off that expectation at all. One for the hop heads.

Golden pour. Foamy white head. Citrus, grapefruit and mango on the nose. Sweet bready malts. Resinous taste, tropical fruits. Acidic but pleasant. Well balanced strong malt backbone. Excellent

On tap at Pour House. Pours a yellow amber color with a bit of head. Sharp hop profile. Some flavors I'm not keen on.

Great aroma mandarin, bit of resiny pine (just a bit), a touch floral a bit of caramelised sugar, maybe the faintest touch of waxy granny smith skins. Taste is same, but this all hits up front, middle drops out a bit then a decent piney bitterness comes and lingers. Could drink this all night.

Tasted in bottle from Fine Wine Delivery Co. Cloudy golden, brown with minimal, long lasting head when poured for the first time in glass. The second glass poured with a thicker head. Subtle hints of malts on the nose, nothing too extreme. The malts on the front palate are far more present, with short finish. Rather intense sensations but begins to fade quite quickly. A well balanced beer, drunk with a succulent scotch fillet, wonderful match. Not over powering but very much enjoyable.

Peach coloured pour. Resinous hop aroma. Taste is the resinous hops with a perfect buzzy bitterness. Great stuff for a session.

BOTTLE. Hazy orange pour with huge fluffy white head. Faint sweet floral notes on the nose. Very sweet flavours up front mostly your typical citrus but also a touch of mint? Sweet hoppy finish... One of the better NZ pale ales I’ve had. Sourced Pourhouse Dunsborough

Purchase from Carwyn Cellars. Very enjoyable, refreshing Ale on a hot day. Good stuff from Panhead.

Bottle from The Beer Cellar online store (April 2014). Clear dark orange/amber, off-white head, lots of fruity, juicy hops, peach, apricot, medium chewy resiney/piney bitterness, medium caramel sweetness, long resiney bitter finish. Very good.

bottle, superliquor cromwell NZ. Good nose fruity and distinctive APA. Palate fine pretty understated but clean hoppy citrusy notes. Body and finish maybe a bit lacking as the mid palate not connected well to the finish leaving it a bit too bitter/sharp. But decent drop for a beer at 5.7% alc

Bottled. Clear amber with a small white head. The aroma is fruity with peach and citrus along with caramel malt and toffee. The flavour is a reasonably well-balanced mix of juicy fruit and caramel malt. Dry and sticky palate with an average to strong bitterness.
