The aroma is nicely sour with subtle smoke hints. Beautiful reddish brown color. Tastes wonderfully sour with tart cherry and raspberry flavors that pucker nicely. Overall a very nice beer.

2008, Batch #10
Cherry brown with etched light tan foam. Smells like stilton cheese, oak, some pie cherry, really not taking much on the nose here personally. As it warms, it kinda reminds me of cherry jolly rancher smell. Flavor is lightly tart with rich acetic character, lightly sweet and a good bit of oak. Thin with light, ticklish carb and a dry finish. Overall the beer is really drinkable, as it warms, it is really inviting as a beverage, makes me wish I were sitting in a lush leather chair at fireside.

T: Minor sourness with a lot of vinous hints. Nice sweetness here, too.
M: Light and nimble. Good carbonation and easy to drink.
O: A very interesting take on the style. Has a lot in common with wine. Tasty.

Grazie a Caterina per questa rarità! Rispetto alla Sour questa è più complessa, peccato per una ossidazione eccessiva che la rovina un po

Bruce’s Birthday Bash at the Craft Clerkenwell. Batch #10. 2008. Bottle #1162. Cloudy brown beer, little pale tan head. Lightly sour nose. Palate is light, dry and slightly crisp. A little tart cherry and raspberry. It’s all reasonably mellow. Think the oaking has rounded things off nicely. Finishes light and semi dry.
