750ml bottle poured in a chalice. A: Beautiful deep amber to brown color with a huge aired fluffy tan head when poured. Small retention and many lacings left. Its head never disappears completely S: Delicious fruity and acid smell. Risins and apples mainly. Close to a Lambic. Bit woody with a bready and malty backbone. Fruity esters and yeasts T: Very fruity. Again, risings mainly. Mild sourness. Absolutely refreshing, spicy and tasty M: Medium body. Medium sour and fruity aftertaste. Not much alcohol despite of the medium ABV O: Bellissima birra. Balanced in all senses. Refreshing and, at the same time sour and tasty [ BA Review @ 12/16/2011 ]

Countbeer (4548) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - OCT 3, 2014
Bottle: Served in a Cantillon Tumbler: Small off white vanilla foamy lacing. Hazy brown body. Aroma is a delicious mix of brett, lacto, wood, grapes, some raisin some red fruit, tart tones, some caramel and a hint of sweets. Flavour is a bit thinner than aroma: lots of different yeast, tart, wood, malts, caramel, hint of brown sugar, lacto, bread, some tartherbs, lots of tart fruits, some wood, grapes, raisin, some berries, light dry, lighter bitters... Aftertaste is a bit dry with yeast, lacto, wood, raisin, some caramel, malts and tart. Low carbo, creamy tart mouthfeel, more than medium bodied and a light dry light creamy texture. Gets better with an hour!

Good example of belgian oud bruin, but less sour than the classic version. Nice red brown colour. Taste of oak, red wine, tartness, lactic, caramel, red fruits. Nice.

Bottle spilt @ Craft Clerkenwell. Cheers to Colleen. The pour’s deep red with a tiny head. The nose is marzipan. Some rotting red fruits. Apples. Spice. The taste is rotting apple and cherry compote. Mild yeasty funk. Light acetic punchiness. Moderately tart. Light body, fine carb. Overall, not bad!

Bottle shared at CBC Clerkenwell - London. Massive thanks to Colin for sourcing this relative rarity from Italy. Pours hazy amber with a creamy, off-white head. Light ripe fruit on the nose with touches of aged bread. Medium sweet flavor with tangy fruits and aged, wet wood. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet, tangy berries to finish, moderate acidity. Nicely matured beer.

Bottle split at Craft Clerko, massive thanks to Manuele for unearthing this from the cellar, 08/07/13. Murky cherry red with a light tan head that dissipates edgeward. Nose is woody, soured berry fruits, light oxidisation, damp wood. Taste comprises light must, funk, tarte berry fruits, lightly soured berries, rich fruit tang, dank wood, earthy, tarte apple skins, soured red grapes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry tarte finish. Solid sour affair.

Pours red-brown color with a small head. Lots of sour fruits on the nose, grass and some barnyard notes too. Flavor of sour fruits, hay, yeast notes, malts and some wine-like hints, also some wood. Medium carbonation, sour palate. Somewhat disappointing.
