Pours red-brown color with a small head. Lots of sour fruits on the nose, grass and some barnyard notes too. Flavor of sour fruits, hay, yeast notes, malts and some wine-like hints, also some wood. Medium carbonation, sour palate. Somewhat disappointing.

Bouteille 750ml (reçue par IPB en pensant recevoir la version originale). De couleur ambrée et voilée. Nez de levures fruitées moyennement acides et sûres (cerises sûres, pommes vertes, léger d’agrumes et des notes de prunes rouges) aux notes boisées (fût de chêne et bois mouillé), sauvages et terreuses, léger de caramel très doux aux petites notes rôties. Moyenne-mince en bouche avec un pétillement élevé et une texture rappelant légèrement un mousseux. Goût de levures fruitées moyennement acides et sûres (pommes vertes, cerise sûres, léger d’agrumes, faibles notes de prunes et de pamplemousse) légèrement sauvages et terreuses avec des notes boisées (bois mouillé, traces de fût de chêne) et épicées lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un des notes de grains de céréales aux notes rôties puis en finale, asséchante, l’on retrouve des notes herbeuses ainsi qu’avec des notes d’alcool doux,. Post-goût moyen-long et un peu sec, moyennement aigre de fruits (pelures de pommes, moût de cerises) avec de faibles notes d’alcool et de rôti.

Big bottle. Aroma of grapes with some tangy acidity. Taste: grapes, fairly malty. Aftertaste of sour hay.

Aroma is somewhat sour and sweetish with woody notes, sour cherries and vinegar. Flavour is sour with woody notes, vinegar, overripe fruits, red wine and distant earthy notes. I am not a friend of the oud bruin style and this was even a bad one.

Bottle. Dark red body, thin laces. Aroma of sour fruits, oak and malt. Taste of sweet apples and bitter chocolate. Dry feel, finish is sweet and sour with alcohol.

750ml Bottle - Dark brown in colour. Vinous aroma with notes of oak, leather and dried fruit. Tart , fruity and sour taste with notes of raisins, oak, leather and some acidic hints. Fairly easy to drink and enjoyable. Lots of body.

Reddish brown colour with a fizzy head that dissipates quickly. Sour cherries and caramel aromas. Pleasantly sour. Fruity notes and a nice puckering tartness on the end.

Bottle shared at my 30:th birthday tasting on May 5 (30 år av Surt). Courtesy of Ekstedt. Pours hazy brownish red with a small creamy offwhite head that quickly dissipates without leaving much trace. Smell is tiny sweet, tiny sour and metallic with chestnuts, wet soil, asparagus, hazelnuts and moss. Taste is tiny sweet and sour with hazelnuts, wood, sheet metal, sour cherries, vinegar and hints of burnt sugar. Mouthfeel is tart, slightly dry and medium bodied. Finish is sour with lemon zest, hazelnuts, wood, hay, lemon juice and cherries.
