3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Pours a hzy, yellowish golden-orange (had a hard time nailing the color) with a dense white head on top. Rubbery, sourish nose with a little fruityness and something reminding me of leaves on the ground. Fruity and citrusy flavor with a sourness and a grapefruity fruityness and bitterness. Medium, slightly astringent mouthfeel. Quite nice one, but I’m not sure about it. Wouldn’t mind having another though. (071123)

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a cloudy yellow color, with a very big head, rather frothy; a persistent, chaotic perlage contributes in maintaining a creamy layer on top. A strong aroma hits the nose, from far away, bringing bold scents of moldy cellars, later mitigated by citrus fruits, light wood, light vinegar acidity and very light ammonia; the only downside is a very light plastic touch. The very high carbonation signs the mouthfeel, but it’s also soft; the body is quite weak, with simple but subtle flavors, turning around the woody astringency and the citrusy sourness; in the end there is a correct bitterness.
There is definitively room for improvement, as the flavor requires more substance. It may be very interesting to taste it in 2 years.
An interesting experiment.

Muddy light blond color, poor head retention; in other words, not nice. Funky aroma, absolutely original, an undetectable mix of medicine, citrus fruits, herbs… but nice; all the elements are balanced and they create something vinous. Medium mouthfeel, some residual sweetness, nice citrus touch, but too yeasty.

This is pretty marvelous. Totally unique and quite an experience. Very cloudy and very pale yellow brown (not so sure about it, could be anything lurking in there) with reasonable head retention. Amazing freshly baked bread aroma with salted meat and some mad funky yeast. Flavour is approaching lambic sour with the accompanying zesty mouthfeel. Incredibly wheaty and some highly unusual but really pleasing unbrewed malt. Everything is kicked unceremoniously out of the way by a bahnstormingly tart, lemon and yeast finish like it’s wearing a short frilly skirt and a bikini top hosting an all day tv game show. It’s completely off its chops and I really like it.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: FEB 8, 2010 Small white head with some large bubbles. Hazy opaque yellow body with yeast floaties. Barnyard peppery citrus aroma with soft metal hop notes. Dry-acidic lemony peppery soft metal hops taste with barnyard and wood notes. Lightly astringent mouthfeel. Mid-bodied. Dry-acidic wooden barnyard aftertaste. Interesting, different, subtle, balanced, harmonic, drinkable. (0.375l bottle, Systembolaget. Erased earlier rating, as it wasn’t good enough.)

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Huge white head tops the cloudy golden hue. Lots of lacing over there. The nose, to put it mildly, is absolutely unique. The spontaneous fermentation yeast strain is weird, unheard of and quite appealing. A marvellous experimentation. Vinous, grapey with litchi notes that never have the time to become sweet before they are overtaken by phenolic, rubbery notes. More simple in mouth though, not too juicy and very foamy. Faded fruitiness on the palate. Surprising amount of hops procure a whiff of floral aromas.
