With a nod to beerbuzzmontreal, yes, it pours clear golden with a medium but diminishing white head. The aroma is interesting but there’s some stuff in there that should not be there and ain’t lambic. The spiciness strikes me as part added and part odd microbes. The flavor is tart with mild spices but ’gone off’ rather than ’oak-aged’. The body is light to medium with an oily texture and lively carbonation. It’s not a lambic.

The pour reveals a clear golden color with a medium, but diminishing white head. The aroma is interesting, there’s some barnyard, fruits, bubble-gum, there’s also a spicy presence that reminds me of ginger cookies. The flavor has mild barnyard, bubble-gum, citrus, tartness and mild spices. The body is light to medium with an oily texture and lively carbonation. It’s not a great lambic, but it’s thirst-quenching and enjoyable.

Bottle. Hazy gold with a thin head. Aromas are citrus with caramel and some woody notes. Fairly yeast. Flavours are sharp citrus with wheat and a fair degree of yeast. Dry on the finish. Decent.

Bottle (375ml). Shared with blankboy and garthicus, via trade with glouglouburp. Murky yellow, small head. Serious lemon funk with dry oak. Taste same, a little dry and almost soapy. Acidic, thick, lively mouthfeel, long dry acidic finish. Really frickin’ good!

Thanks to HogTownHarry, shared with Blankboy and I. Appearance: Lovely cloudy yellow/orange with a small head. Aroma: Lovely yeast, spice, lemons, banana skins, wheat and wood. Flavour: Tart, salty, lots of yeast, spices, I agree with JK below re a ’barnyard’ flavour. Lovely sour finish.

Bottle. Cloudy and dary yellowy beer. The aroma is yeasty, sour and hotly spiced. The flavour is very sour, warmingly spiced and citric. Overall a nice palatable lambic.

(375ml, bottled Nov 07) Pours a cloudy golden body with a medium white head. Aroma of yeast, biscuit, bubblegum, lime peel, earth, dust, and lemon. Flavor of wheat, earth, wood, and acidic with a soft, yet chalky, mouthfeel and dry finish.

I carried this home from Johnny’s Off License in Rome. I liked it very much. Quite thick for a lambic, but no carbonation which is fine for an unblended lambic. Bright, opaque yellow. Strong aroma of lambic yeast. Flavor has flowers, with a barnyard aroma/flavor. Not Cantillon sour, but quite sour anyway, with some acid and a definite bite.
