2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle 330 ml, from trade with Mathieu87, thanks! Poured into a tulip glass. ABV 10%
Colour is a bright and deep golden yellow one, with two fingers of white soapy head sitting on top. Average to low retention, light lacing stays behind after the head has collapsed.
Aroma of yeast, grains. Fruity too, when I opened the bottle it smelled very much like apple juice, now less like that and more malty. Alcohol notable after every swirl of the glass, which to be honest I prefer to the grainy aroma.
Taste of malts, grass, cider like. Alcohol very obvious. Fruity on the finish with some dirty hay in there.
Medium thin body, okay carbonation.
Overall could be better, could be worse too. Not one I would choose in a bar though.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
April 2010: Brown 33cl bottle, poured into a Duvel glass, sediment and all.
Murky orange body, was lighter, but as the sediment arrived the beer obviously turned in colour and appearance (clarity wise). I allowed the beer to settle and large ’pieces’ began to sink downwards but it remained dull and cloudy.
The smells were orange, corriander and sweets/candy.
The taste was simular to the smells, a sweet orange and corriander feel to it. A bit too sweet for me.
Not the greatest Belgian Pale Ale by any means, but an interesting beer non-the-less.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Light hazy darker blond coloured beer with lots of carbonation and a medium but diminishing white head. Rather sweet light malty hinted aroma. Medium to full palate. Finish is strong yeasty sweet bitter with a sweet alcoholic ending. Rather dry grainy near the end. Medium.
