3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Gravicask (PBBF2012, Thurs)
6+ Sticky stodgy ginger aroma.
3+ Pale and hazy. Thin brief head.
6+ Big wheaty body, lots of ginger. For a UK wheat beer this is pretty good - some banana, some clove. Fairly good balance.
3+ A litle watery but not more than youíd expect for a 3.7% beer.
13+ Anna liked this more than me and thought it was worth 3.2

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pale, cloudy orange beer with a weak white head. Distinctly spicy aroma of ginger and a hint of biscuity malt. Dry on the mouth. Dry biscuity flavour with a less distinct ginger element than the aroma. There is a slight citrusy flavour in the finish. Lacks body that makes the flavour a little bland.

Cask (handpump) at the Murderers, Norwich on 1 December 2011. Hazy amber colour. A bit murky. Quite a ginger burn. Not too over the top though. Iím not a big fan of ginger in beers but I was happy to drink this one.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask - The Murderers, Norwich. Poured a lightly hazy orange with a fine disappearing white head. Spicy ginger, lemon, clove & aromatic floral notes. Ginger, lemon & subtly floral flavour-wise. Lightish body, soft palate textuure, lingering ginger bite. Not overly hot, but that discernible ginger ípepí runs throughout. A bit watery on the mid to end palate but otherwise & fine ginger beer.
