Pours clear golden with a white head. Smell is of grapefruit I think? Taste is pretty bitter, wasn’t expecting it from a golden ale, nice.

Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. This is a hazy golden beer with a bitter woody hop and citrus flavour, a slightly thin body and a dry biscuit and wood finish.

Pored this one into a English pint like its it is a nice cloudy golden color with a one finger head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is floral with a little spice. It’s flavour is true to an IPA very distinctive hoppy and bitter and good. It flows across the palate smooth with a slight carbonation. Overall it is a very well balanced beer that I give a seal of approval.

Cask conditioned handpump Ribs Of Beef Norwich 21/08/12. A golden beer with a whitish head. A slightly tart golden ale. An attempt at citrussy hopping which doesn’t quite work. Turns out a bit harsh and not entirely satisfying.

500ml bottle at home on 19 June 2011, best before 1 February 2012. Clear, clean gold appearance. Lively condition. Some citrus in the aroma. More of the same in the flavour. Quite zesty mouthfeel. Maybe doesn’t quite capture the freshness of the cask but it’s a pleasantly refreshing, easy-drinking, quaffer.

Bottle 500ml.

Clear medium orange yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, toasted, light hoppy. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110619]

Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruits, nectar, mild earth, and some slight sweet malts. Flavour is quite much the same with some rather bittery notes.

Bottle conditioned, 500ml, many thanks John. Gold with white head. Juicy fruity golden ale with grapefruit notes. Dryly hoppy later on. A really pleasant and drinkable BCA
