Pours a cloudy amber. Aromas of Belgian yeast, herbs and flowers. Very pleasant. Delicious herbal flavor upfront. Slight Belgian spice and a very floral finish. Little to no mouthfeel at all. Overall pretty good.

Draft @ Papago during RBWG. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma is sweet malts, cotton candy a splash of honey and some cherry fruitiness. The flavor is sweet malt, candi sugar, with some cherry fruit. There is some mild bitterness to the finish. I didn’t notice that this was >10%.

750 ml bottle from dcschiller- thanks again! Pours a semi-cloudy amber-gold with a rocky, pretty big, eggshell colored head. Aroma of sweet malts, candi sugar, honey, dried apricots, and citrus. Flavor of sweet and dry malts, grains, cereal, straw, and mixed sweet and dried fruits. Light-medium bodied, with a sweet, dry mouthfeel and high, soft carbonation. Pretty interesting tripel. Fairly light-bodied and dry. Unusual collaboration, too- wonder how they met up and decided to do this. Anyway, nice tripel.

State week month, week 1 Oct 2nd - 8th. State: Arizona.
Imagine my surprise when I got my box from dcschiller to find this oddity, an Arizona beer brewed in Belgium, bad-ass. Cheers Dave!
The beer pours a hazy golden color with a very large, well sustained, and remarkably loose head that leaves a fair bit of lace on the glass.
The aroma is fruity and spicy with a slight honey note.
The flavor is chock full o’ pear and citrus notes. There is a yeast-driven spiciness throughout but it’s not overbearing and lets the fruit take the front seat here. The beer is fairly sweet but nice enough when split among friends.
Not a lot of the 11% is detectable here, I mean it seems strong... but by no means that strong. This has bot to be one of the better Van Steenberge beers I’ve had.

Bottle. Pours with a hazy but vibrant orange hued body (a bit dark for the style), with a large, rocky white head. Lots of visible carbonation rising up the side of the glass. Good retention and good, classic belgian lacing. Aromas are sweet, fruity, quite a bit of orange notes (juice, curacao, and peel). Pear and other esters, honey, a bit musty, light apricot, minimal alcohol and candi sugar. Flavors are sweet (a bit too sweet), metallic (light), orange, boozy, candi sugar and lightly bitter. A bit musty. Some tangy orange. Lightly grainy and bready malt, estery with some higher alcohols. Warming, light acidity with lively bubbles. A touch sticky. Medium bubbles. A light carbonic bite. Feels a bit too big and too sweet.
