Steib (574), Queen Creek, Arizona, USA Dec 13, 2004 Nice medium brown color with a tan head. Mild nut brown aroma, some malt notes. Does have a little nutty flavor. Medium bodied, fairly smooth. Tasty but nothing to get to excited over. bigbeersrule (58), USA Oct 1, 2003 A full bodied nut brown ale, makes Newcastle taste like water. This has to be the darkest nut brown I have ever seen. Very nutty taste and a clean beer. Sorry nut brown fans, only available on draught. JohnC (2233), Mission Viejo, California, USA Aug 23, 2003 I had this on draught at Stone's 7th anniversary party.
Appearance: It poured a hazy brown color with a small tan head.
Aroma: It had a slightly toasty aroma, but nothing that would impress you.
Flavor: Being that this is a brown ale, I was expecting something a little more malty. Maybe a little more toasty. Maybe a little more anything. All in all, it was pretty mediocre. Nothing special argo0 (6861), Washington DC, USA Feb 24, 2003 Nice clear brown body with medium tan head. Aroma is quite sweet caramel, malty, nutty. Taste is medium sweet, nutty, caramel. Nice beer, but nothing special. Finishes dry. Nose is nutty sweet, malts and caramel, with just a hint of hops. Sweet front, middle light to medium, the finish is nicely hopped, moderate carbonation and some what acidic. A real pleasure to quaff, and a real top notch brown ale. beerrocks99 (5), USA does not count Mar 22, 2002 this beer rocks
