rocbyter (594), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA Jul 12, 2008 Bitter floral aroma. Clear orange color with a medium white head. Light and refreshing beginning with a moderate hop bitterness ending. WISEGUY572 (1083), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA May 28, 2008 I was surprised, but I rather liked this. Then I checked the reviews and was even more surprised. I still liked it. Nose of caramel malts and hops. Clear to slightly hazy orange beer with small head and great lacing. Caramel malts and British hops ... imagine an IPA that does not taste like it started somewhere between San Diego and Seattle. Good creamy British pub mouthfeel as well. Plus, it has a good finish and it’s not crazy strong. georgekappus (296), Brookfield, Connecticut, USA Apr 25, 2008 Bottle. Pours a burnt amber with almost no head. The aroma was citrus and apples. Taste had a bit of a bite and was somewhat fruity. It was an ok brew. jcwattsrugger (3757), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Feb 26, 2008 on tap-pours a big foamy off white head and gold/copper color. Aroma is nice citrus lemon/grapefruit hops. Taste is citrus lemon/grapefruit-slight bitter hops, secondary light malt.
MrBunn (801), Western, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 26, 2008 Bottle. Color is a orange/gold that is very clear. Supports about one finger of off white foam. Aromas are sweet... floral hops, a bit of sweet malt and some grass. Flavor is a little thin, but very nice for a simple IPA. There is a bit of the pine/resin hops presence that I find so enjoyable, and, while I’d like it a bit stronger, it balances nicely against the malt presence and finishes with a nice little bitter twang.
