COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This oaked cherry double bock was brewed with tart cherries and aged in Bordeaux wine barrels the re-fermented in the bottle. Full bodied malty brew with soft scents of dark cherry, with a malty, sweet caramel taste with accompanying raisin, fig and cherry!

750 ml swingtop bottle poured a clear reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of carmel, red wine, cherry, light molasses and light oak. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry lightly tart finish. Flavors of carmel, cherry, red wine, oak with a crisp dry lightly tart lingering vinous cherry finish.

750ml swingtop. According to phaleslu, this was shared by b3shine, bottle 334/1200. According to my notes, I loved it. Last pour from the bottle. Hazy brown / red color. Lots of particles of yeast. Nice thin off-white head. Dots and short ropes of lace. Robust, blackberry, raspberry, light dark chocolate aroma. Smooth, very light carbonation, kind of creamy. Lightly dry finish. Good bigger tart taste. Light to moderate sweet, nothing close to cloying. Had no idea going into it what this was supposed to be. But as a dark, malty sour... Itís pretty good

750 swing-top bottle shared by b3shine- thanks again, Beau! Bottle 334/1200. Pours a hazy plum-amber color with a small ring for a head. Aroma of plum, caramel, oak, cherry, and raisin - oakiness increases as it warms. Flavor of apple, berries, plum, caramel, oak, and wine. Light-medium bodied, with a tart, sweet mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Interesting beer, with a lot of fruits going on at once.

Pour out of 750 mL bottle, dark brownish black pour with creamy tan head, aroma brought notes of tart cherries, slight vinegar, tart fruits, hints of slight roast, hints of oak, wine in there, touch of vanilla and some caramel sweetness in there as well. Taste is a mix of tart red grape, cherries and berries, some vanilla, red wine vinegar notes, some slight oak, funky notes, mixing into a hint of earth, spice, and caramel, finishing slightly bitter, slightly tart. Kind of like it wasnít meant to be/a bit sloppy, but overall tasted fairly decent.

Bottle (gusher). Head is initially small, fizzy/frothy, light brown, mostly diminishing. Body is muddy brown. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (caramel), with mild notes of soured/spoiled fruit (kumquat, apple peels, grapefruit juice), brown sugar, cherry, vinegar/pickles, wood. Flavor is heavily sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter, unclean. Medium to full body, syrupy/watery texture, fizzy carbonation, moderately alcoholic. Found this to my surprise in my cellar several days ago, which I donít recall purchasing (and wish I hadnít). Alas, another infected beer from Paradox. Spewed everywhere upon opening, instantly kicking up the copious bottle yeast into a mud-like pour. Kind of a weak nose, and sadly the sour off-odors (spoiled OJ, e.g.) prevent the nicer aromas (cherry, malt) from yielding an enjoyable sniff. Likewise, in the mouth the dirty sourness ruins what may have been a reasonably nice, sweet-tart beer to start with. Neither aroma nor taste are horrible, mind you; the infection is not profound...but overall itís a clunky mess, a bit like what you find in the dump bucket at a strong beer tasting. Sad.

750 ml bottle shared by b3shine or brew3crew. Pours a dark caramel browncolor with a thin beige head. The aroma and flavor have an abundance of fruit; tart cherry, berries, musty grapes, vinous notes, with oak, caramel, fig and raisins. Hints of tannins. This is rather unique and a pleasant surprise at the tasting.

750 ml swing top to snifter (thank brew3crew). Looks good; a murky amberish brown with off-white lacing. Smells malty with notes of cherry and deep red wine. Tastes like it smells with some citrus. Nice and refreshing on the palate enjoyable.

Hazy dark brown, with a lasting creamy foamy beige head. Big nutty malty aroma with tart cherries and heavy toffee. Flavor is semi sour and tart with cherry tones taking the charge, with some boozy toffee and mild biscuity flavors on the finish. Semi tart and sour cherries throughout.

Clean and sharp garnet brown pour with ruby highlights and a fizzy tan head. Vinous aroma with chocolate and cherry upfront. Fruit skins and a wild acidity show as well. Cacao and chocolate with deep dark fruits and cherry in the flavor. Moderate acidity and some toasted grain/nutty notes on the finish.
