This oaked cherry double bock was brewed with tart cherries and aged in Bordeaux wine barrels the re-fermented in the bottle. Full bodied malty brew with soft scents of dark cherry, with a malty, sweet caramel taste with accompanying raisin, fig and cherry!

Hazy dark brown, with a lasting creamy foamy beige head. Big nutty malty aroma with tart cherries and heavy toffee. Flavor is semi sour and tart with cherry tones taking the charge, with some boozy toffee and mild biscuity flavors on the finish. Semi tart and sour cherries throughout.

750 ml swingtop bottle poured a clear reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of carmel, red wine, cherry, light molasses and light oak. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry lightly tart finish. Flavors of carmel, cherry, red wine, oak with a crisp dry lightly tart lingering vinous cherry finish.

Ruby amber pour. Multiple scents of wine, toffee cherry and a lil funk. First sip reminded me of a good Barrel influenced little brother to Consecration. A lil more leather and a lot more variety in the fruit tastes. From Cherri’s to tart apples, pears and tropical.

750ml swingtop. According to phaleslu, this was shared by b3shine, bottle 334/1200. According to my notes, I loved it. Last pour from the bottle. Hazy brown / red color. Lots of particles of yeast. Nice thin off-white head. Dots and short ropes of lace. Robust, blackberry, raspberry, light dark chocolate aroma. Smooth, very light carbonation, kind of creamy. Lightly dry finish. Good bigger tart taste. Light to moderate sweet, nothing close to cloying. Had no idea going into it what this was supposed to be. But as a dark, malty sour... It’s pretty good

Bottle shared by b3shine. Pours a murky copper with a beige head. The aroma is musty grape and cranberry. Tastes nearly tart, but just doesn’t quite make it.

Clean and sharp garnet brown pour with ruby highlights and a fizzy tan head. Vinous aroma with chocolate and cherry upfront. Fruit skins and a wild acidity show as well. Cacao and chocolate with deep dark fruits and cherry in the flavor. Moderate acidity and some toasted grain/nutty notes on the finish.

UPDATED: JUN 28, 2014 750ml swing-top bottle #1175/1200, 2014 vintage. Tart cherry aroma with vinous and malt notes. Pours deep red color with a thin off-white head and very little lacing. Very lively mouth feel from the carbonation. Tart cherry flavors mingle with red wine and Belgian malt. Finishes with a touch of red wine dryness with the wine flavors lingering on the palate. Even better than the first time around. 2013 vintage. Tart, cherry aroma. Pours deep red color with lots of head and carbonation. Taste is very tart cherry flavors with wine undertones. Not bad. -Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750 ml bottle shared by b3shine or brew3crew. Pours a dark caramel browncolor with a thin beige head. The aroma and flavor have an abundance of fruit; tart cherry, berries, musty grapes, vinous notes, with oak, caramel, fig and raisins. Hints of tannins. This is rather unique and a pleasant surprise at the tasting.

750 swing-top bottle shared by b3shine- thanks again, Beau! Bottle 334/1200. Pours a hazy plum-amber color with a small ring for a head. Aroma of plum, caramel, oak, cherry, and raisin - oakiness increases as it warms. Flavor of apple, berries, plum, caramel, oak, and wine. Light-medium bodied, with a tart, sweet mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Interesting beer, with a lot of fruits going on at once.
