Bottle @ Papsø. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty sweetish chocolate and whiskey aroma with hints of caramel. Roasted malty sweetish chocolate vanilla flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate finish.

Pours a dark brownish colour with medium size head. Strong roast malt aroma with some vanilla barrel notes. flavour is chocolate roasted malts light oak vanilla slight whiskey and some licorice.

Bottle pour, thanks Brad. Mild malty and roasty aroma. Really tasty and smooth, roast, a bit of bourbon, chocolate. Black with tan head. Really drinkable, not overwhelmingly flavorful, but tasty and smooth.

High carbonation (bottled for couple months) it is a tough boozy , oak isn’t over done so that is good needs refinement this is first vintage

Bottle @ Papsoe tasting. Very dark brown with tiny beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and coconut? Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, medium sweet, little coconut?, hop, little liquorice and a little bitter.

Botte @ Papsø. Pours black with a light brown head. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malt, caramel, hops, wood, vanilla, sweat and coconut. Taste is near heavy sweet and bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is medium+. Finish is roasted and warming.

[ Courtesy of fiulijn ]. Clear dark red brown colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy and open, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, chocolate, moderate roasted. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, chocolate, malty, light to moderate roasted, alcohol is very well hidden. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130315]

Gotta disagree with all of you on this Black,small tan head.Woody roasty nose.Sweet woody roast palate,licorice tones. Medium alcohol heat. Lacking in body appropriate to style
