3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 gilvanblight (678) - Windsor, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 9, 2013
Clear redish brown rusty pour with a clingy white head. Hoppy and flowery scent. A bit nutty, flowery and lots of fruits. Just a touch of bitterness. Rather like this. The brewers saw we should be able to find this in the LCBO next week or so. I’ll be picking some up when we do.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 pictoman (77) - British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 2, 2013

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 burnabyt (21) - - APR 27, 2013
Pick a hop pack. 341ml, 6%abv. As the name says, it pours ruby, if not amber in color. The head is tight, and tan colored. It has good retention, and sticks to the glass. Subtle aroma with notes of molasses, and sweet citrus. The smooth base of pale, crystal, and victory malt is well complimented by the cascade hops. Medium carbonation
and some chewiness. Overall, smooth, satisfying, and a good example of a hop forward amber ale.

A decent tasting, sessionable beer. High carbonation level which gives it a cidery feel.

A study in Cascade hops, really. Extremely simple, but clean and quaffable. I guess this is the Pacific Northwest version of the English bitters you see in every little town made with the same ingredients over there. Enough resin to make me happy, crystal malt adds depth, and the drink winds up very quaffable. I’m really glad they made something this simple so well; one of the best BC "sessionables".
