Draught at Kingston Taphouse and Grille, Vancouver
Dark amber color with creamy head. Light aroma of caramel and very light earthy touch (manure). Nice caramel flavor, quite lean mouthfeel, with correct bitterness.
Easy, flawless, not bad.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hazy dull amber, leafy, floral and light caramel aroma, a bit fizzy, but nice fruity, floral character. Kind of yeasty and muddled, though, tough to get through a full one.

A hazed dark amber IPA with a thin mocha head. In aroma, fragrant floral hops with smooth biscuit malt, orange pulp. In mouth, a nice honey biscuit malt with clover field, floral hops, citrus, nice and smooth.Cask at Toronto Cask Days 2012, Oct. 27 2012.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Deep amber pour with a thick off-white head. The aroma is quite hoppy and fresh. A nice bright tropical fruitiness. Mango and pine with a bit of light caramel and toffee on the back. Juicy and fresh. There was a little bit of light toffee and a touch of sweetness. It’s the nicest of the three beers in the mixed pack - fresh and fruity. Very close to IPA territory with the level and expressiveness of the hopping. Nice stuff.

Not a bad red, fresh from LCBO. Lasting head, reddish colour. Some hops that give it a grapefruit-orange finish to a malty English style ale. Slightly above average mouthfeel.

UPDATED: NOV 22, 2012 2012-10-27. Murky dark amber brown body, small beige head. Modest green leafy hops grow as you work through it, good amount of malt. 7+ Flavour has modest bitterness, green leafy hop character, pleasant modest bitterness, mild base malt. 7+ Modest fruity bitterness lingers. 7+ Smooth average plus body has light carbonation. Decent, I enjoyed it but it was a bit too mild overall. As Gyparillo Red IPA at Cask Days 2012 at Brick Works, Toronto

On tap at cask fest 2012
Aroma: caramel with citrus hop feel, rather mild overall.
Look: poured as amber ale , murky with rocky top.
Taste/palate: sweet malts , soft easy going refreshing bitter ale. Good choice as session ale.

Bottle. Red-orange amber colour with a medium off-white head. No lace. Aroma is hopper than I expected, with nice underlying dark caramel. Lightly toasty, lightly earthy caramel shares the palate with lightly piney fruity hops. Actually a well balanced hoppy amber. Mouthfeel is a tad thin considering this is 6%, but overall I was pleasantly surprised.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
October 28, 2012 - 8th Annual Volo Cask Days. As Gyparillo Red IPA. Near the end of the cask - muddy brownish/orange (hint of green to it) with a small/average frothy/bubbly beige head (3-). Smells grainy, floral bite to it, earthy, weird. Taste follows, bitter resin mixed in - dry and sweet and not much alcohol. Thick, chewy, astringent, flat, quick-finishing with a gritty aftertaste - suffering a bit at the scrag end, but solid nonetheless.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask at Cask Days 2012. Thirteenth beer of the fest. As ’Gyparillo Red IPA’. Pours a dark amber-brown with a small beige head. Fruity, resiny, hoppy aroma is quite nice. There’s some caramel malt in the back and a hint of spice in there too. Flavour is good but pales slightly next to that great aroma. Very fruity with light hops and a hint of spice. Average bitter finish. Medium bodied. Pretty good overall.
