Pick a hop pack. 341ml, 6%abv. As the name says, it pours ruby, if not amber in color. The head is tight, and tan colored. It has good retention, and sticks to the glass. Subtle aroma with notes of molasses, and sweet citrus. The smooth base of pale, crystal, and victory malt is well complimented by the cascade hops. Medium carbonation and some chewiness. Overall, smooth, satisfying, and a good example of a hop forward amber ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Small head that disappears quickly. Beautiful amber with a bit of red. Hoppy and malty aroma. Some bitterness on the tongue. Mild carbonation. Delicious. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap @ Parallel 49. Amber pour with a finger of white foam. Lemon preserves and lots of orange and grapefruit on the nose. Some pine along with a dominating toasted malt profile. Some caramel, too. Fairly floral. Flavor has some citric acidity along with a heavily toasted malt base. Rather floral and citrusy. Some resinous pine bitterness. Nice.

Bottle from the LCBO. Smells like bread malt with some spice and piney hop notes. Taste has brown sugar, caramel malt, with a mild bitter orange peel finish. Tasty stuff.

Amber copper colour, clear with a white head. Aroma of sage, and caramel. Taste matches the aroma with pine tones and a bitter taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cloudy murky brownish colour with a head that disappears quickly. hoppy pine cones and sage spice mixed with caramel and sweet malts on the aroma. It drinks like a malty and hoppy brew with more of that spicy sage like quality. drinks well enough, no complaints.

Bottle from the LCBO. Cloudy deep copper with a large fluffy khaki head that leaves some sparse lace. Nose is toasted malt and caramel with a good dose of floral and piney hops. Medium sweet caramel start tempered by a medium light hop bitterness. Mouth is a little thin with average carbonation and a dry finish. Well hopped amber ale.

(On tap) Pours a deep ruby with a fat finger of cream-coloured head diminishing rapidly to a thin cap and moderate lacing. Nose is pine resin and grassy hops, toasted malt and caramel. Taste is malt forward, sweet caramel, backed up by moderate hop bitterness. Medium body and low persistent carbonation. A little too much malt and too little hops for my preference, but that’s par for the course for an amber ale. Not bad, but not all that interesting or challenging.

Dark amber colour with a cream coloured head. Caramel malt with a touch of fruit in the aroma. Taste is strong in caramel malts with some piney and fruity malts. Little bit of a bitter finish. Pretty solid amber ale.
