Pick a hop pack. 341ml, 6%abv. As the name says, it pours ruby, if not amber in color. The head is tight, and tan colored. It has good retention, and sticks to the glass. Subtle aroma with notes of molasses, and sweet citrus. The smooth base of pale, crystal, and victory malt is well complimented by the cascade hops. Medium carbonation and some chewiness. Overall, smooth, satisfying, and a good example of a hop forward amber ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I really liked this beer. Nicely hopped with a malty side to it. Good colour. I will definitely try more beers from Parallel 49.

341 ml bottle from a Parallel 49 sampler six-pack from Liquor Depot, served in a straight-sided goblet. Pours a deep ruby red hue with a light tan cap that leaves some lacing. Aroma is deep with vinous and citrus hops, moderately sweet, with plenty of spiced dark fruit and berries, and a backing of malt toastiness; flavor is just as vast and has citrus, then vinous, fruitiness, and spiced toastiness. Moderately chewy body, very pleasant aftertaste. A truly luscious red ale, and I do love my red ales.

Aroma is toasted malts, mild/medium nuttiness and fruit. The flavor is fruit, malts/toasted malts, citrus, very light hops and a mix of bitter and slightly sour/tangy in the finish.

Not much carbonation on opening. Pretty flat. It is a ruby red hue and tastes of melon and biscuit malts. Not a heavy beer by any means. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From a bottle, pours a dark red-brown with cream lace. Boozy, bready aroma with huge malt, somewhat spicy flavors. Thin and wet on the palate.

11.5oz bottle, thanks to aabean for bringing this back from California with her. Red amber orange color. Thin off-white head. Decent lace. Toasty malt, light spiciness. Biscuit. Mild bit of oxidization. Medium body. Kind of slick texture. Lighter crisp carbonation. Moderate bitter taste, light to moderate sweet, kind of dry. A decent red ale, but the age is showing a bit. Would be better fresh, I’m sure.

11.5 oz bottle pours brown with a off white head. Aroma of malts, toast and floral. Taste is very malty, woody and a hint of bitterness.
