3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pick a hop pack. 341ml, 6%abv. As the name says, it pours ruby, if not amber in color. The head is tight, and tan colored. It has good retention, and sticks to the glass. Subtle aroma with notes of molasses, and sweet citrus. The smooth base of pale, crystal, and victory malt is well complimented by the cascade hops. Medium carbonation
and some chewiness. Overall, smooth, satisfying, and a good example of a hop forward amber ale.

Pours a deep, clear ruby amber, with a foamy, frothy tan head. Aroma is floral, resin and pine, hints of bread and dough, and citrus. Taste is toast, bread, molasses, and finishes with a hint of citrus, and a lingering roasty bitterness. Full bodied, carbonation is low and soft. Texture is slightly sticky. Easy to drink, quite pleasant.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma is caramel, sweet malts, toffee, vanilla and fig. Taste is a very well balanced malt/hop profile, just enough sweetness and roastiness balanced with a nice mix of clove and cirus bitterness. Slight earthiness. Appearance is a clear copper with a thin pearl head that retains well.

Had this a couple days ago so this is from memory. This was sort of a pleasant surprise. Nose is mostly earthy caramel malt with a bit of citrus hops. Taste is the same but with a nice floral/citrus hop element. Finish is pleasantly dry. Good stuff.

Bottle poured a clear reddish amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of caramel, earthiness, light fruitiness and a hint of cocoa. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of caramel, earthiness, light pine and light grapefruit with a crisp dry moderately bitter finish.

3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This ale poured a deep amber colour with a nice, frothy, light brown head. Scents include citrus hops, tea and a little dough. First swig was smooth with good malt hop balance. Carbonation is low/medium. Flavours of spruce hops, light iced tea and malt. Finish is medium hoppy/bitter. A perfect amount of bitter hop flavour.

6-pack o’ bottles. Nice ’n hoppy red ale. Equal parts piney hops and caramel malt. Highly drinkable, medium bitterness, inoffensive, boozy, balanced, decent all-around beer.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Owl Farm, Brooklyn tap: Pours bright red with an off-white head. Aroma is light pine, citrus, and bread. This is definitely not one of those standard caramel infused amber ales. Nice light hoppiness throughout. Pine and earthy notes. Malt backbone is light and bready. Not bad.

Bottle. Pours deep amber, very red when held to light, fairly clear, big frothy beige head with medium retention. Citrus, pine, a lot of malt sweetness on the nose. A lot of malt to start, some pine notes and then it fades into a lingering bitterness.
