Till the earth, tip the bottle. With the new season comes a new saison - complex and fruity, with a semi-dry finish.

Cloud and golden, ring if head remains. Smells of melon and grainy and yeasty. Medium body, medium high carbonation, slightly dry finish. Tastes fruity and sour, slightly pear-like, some straw flavours. Doesn't taste very yeasty (like the smell) fairly pleasant and well balanced. I really like this style and this beer is ver tasty in my mind.

Jaune brumeux avec une petite mousse blanche. L’arôme légèrement fruité avec du levure et du blé. Le goût est plutôt comme une heffewizen qu’un saison. Un peu fruité, un peu du blé.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Cloudy dark blond color with compact head. The aroma is lightly spicy and lightly lemony. Semi-dry mouthfeel, excessive carbonation; moderate spicy character, but also with underlying vegetable presence, rubber; medium-to-strong bitterness.
Not a bad beer, but also not visionary, and with minor flaws.

12 oz bottle from the Unparalleled pack. Pours a hazy straw colour with a frothy white head, not much lacing. Aroma is of farmhouse yeast. Clean mouthfeel, medium carbonation, mild alcohol warmth. Taste is a crisp sweetness, tempered with herbal notes, mild sourness from the yeast. Another awesome saison.

Bottle. It pours a lightly hazy, golden color topped by a decent, white head. Rather fruity aroma, with some resemblance to hefeweizen, at least more on that side than on the saison side. Lacking the spicy, yeasty touch I love about saisons. The same goes for the flavor, and it’s definitely not attenuated enough. Rather sweet on the palate, medium body, and a nice level of carbonation. Fruity finish. Hoped for more, that’s for sure. 130703

Poured from 341mL bottle. Slightly cloudy straw yellow colour with nice white head. Yeasty citrusy head, similar to a wit beer. Same taste. Nice body, but lacks finish.

Pours a moderately hazy golden colour with a quarter inch of dense long lasting white foam. Aroma is made up of fruity esters, citrus, spicy phenols, and a soft alcohol. Flavour is spicy yeast, fruity, peppery, citrus, and mild bitterness near the end.

Great spring/summer beer. Citrus and sour notes. A little closer to a Wit then a Saison I believe. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Balanced hops make this a great saison. Light florals, mash malt and some light citrus here. Pours cloudy golden with good head and lacing. Finishes sour and bitter in balance. Average carbonation. Good stuff. On tap at Garrick Head.

Pours a cloudy golden color with a big frothy white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of citrus, pepper and some sweet fruity esthers. Taste is citrus, spicy peppery, sweet fruits and some yeast that all blends together very well and finishes with a smooth bitterness. Medium carbonation and a semi dry finish round this one out. Very pleasant, really loving P49!
