Don’t mind the flashes. This unique pale lager with big hop aroma and citrus kick tends to attract a lot of attention.

Visual: Pours golden deep orange with a long-lasting decent-sized very foamy head, very sticky thick lacing, several slow streams. Nose: clean and direct orange-grapefruit citrus hopped malts. (lvl-6)-pungency Attack: crisp, incoming soft bitter hops Mid-palate: fizzy-tingly, (lvl-5)-sweetness, (MAIN) liquid barley malt, bread-toffee, light chamomile Finish: light burpy, soft grapefruit bitter hops, long lingering bitter finish. Summary: You got the liquid sweetness of a lager balanced very nicely with the bitterness of an IPA; Not harshly hopped, just enough to create a harmonious sippable balance.

In bottle (advent calendar); this one was not for me .. lots of citrus, and very heavy on the hops ... tried a few sips and poured, I would not buy again

Aroma is clove, caramel, honey, roasted malts. Taste is light sweet roasty malts with a bitter finish. Appearance is an orange/yellow with a thin pearl head that retains fairly well.

Pours pale yellow gold. Foamy white head, good retention, some lacing. Aroma is resin, citrus and pine. Taste is sweet, malty, and faintly floral. Finishes bitter and astringent, lingering. Light body, average carbonation. Not bad, but lacks depth.

Bottle - Pale malts and some grass. Clear gold with a decent white head. Up front grassy and light citrus bitterness, finishes with a bit of biscuit. OK, but there is nothing really interesting here.

On tap at the brewery, slight cloudy golden-amber hue, with a white head, with a nice fruity citrus, floral leafy, grassy, citrus hoppy nose, with a subtle spicy lemon pepper, light zesty lemon, grapefruit peel accent, with a faint crunchy pale, bready, toasted malt, lemon pie crust note in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a crisp light wet flowery citrus, leafy hoppy, sweet straw, tea leaf character, with a mild zesty lemon, grapefruit peel, toasted, bread, pale malt, lemon pie crust flavour, leading towards a citrus, leafy, grassy hop bitterness finish.

On tap @ Parallel 49. Clear orange pour with white foam. Weirdly buttery. A lot of grass and sweet bready malts. Hints of cracker, pine, and subtle citrus peel. There’s a bunch of bitterness to the taste. Sweet butter and bread, too. Citrus rind, grass, and hints of pine. Maybe a bit of lemon. One of their weaker offerings on my visit.
