Amazing pour. Perfect color, 2 fingers of gorgeous foam head with a ton of sticky lacing. Aroma of mangos and grapefruits. Flavour of hops, cereal grains and malts, and a huge tropical blast with minimal hop burn. IPA of the month!

650ml bottle pours a hazy golden orange color with a finger and a half of white head that leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is pine and tropical fruits with some cereal grains. Taste is a pine and grapefruit hop bitterness with a tropical fruity and grainy malt sweetness. Medium bodied with decent carbonation. A nicely done DIPA, but the hops are a bit subdued, making this one a bit malt forward. A tasty brew, but certainly not for those who love the big hop bombs.

4 oz draft. Light amber. Quite a sweet aftertaste - almost too sweet. Gentle hops - almost too gentle. Too strong to want a full pint of this. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle 650ml. Pours hazy orange with medium off-white head. Intense lacing. Aroma is of caramel, fruits, pine. Taste is of caramel, bitterness, fruits (tropical). Palate: Medium body. Soft carbonation. Overall: Good. Decent balance, just a tad sweet.

Bottle (650 ml). 2014 release. From Damon, thanks! Hazy orange/caramel color with a small persistent white head and some lacing. Aroma is of caramel, citrus (I wasn’t able to recognize Mosaic hops though) - quite fruit forward-, light sweetness and piney notes. Taste is moderately sweet with caramel, lots of fruits/citrus, hints of alcohol and moderate bitterness. Merdium body. Moderate carbonation. Moderately dry finish. Not too caramel forward despite the color of the beer. Very fruity. Decent drinkability. Good.

Clear golden amber with a pale head. Aroma is passionfruit, hint of mango. Medium bodied, fruity and sweet on the palate, balance seems a little too skewed towards the malty sweet side. Flavours are passionfruit, caramel, candied orange peel.

On tap at St Augustine’s in Vancouver. A medium amber beer with a bit of blond head. Assertive citrus resinous hop forward, with plenty of malt in the background. Nice. 3.7.

From the bomber. This is a great IPA that is rich with fruit inspired hops but with a sweeter finish. Nice balance and refreshing. Pours cloudy amber, nice head and abundant lacing. Smells of pine, tropical fruit and some underlying malt. Taste is a pop of fruity hops wrapped around a caramel Center. The hops taste fresh, much like a fresh hop IPA. Enjoy ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught at the brewery
Bright light amber color with compact head. Classic Mosaic aroma, well expressed: fruity, tropical, musky. Lean body, with moderate residual sweetness, malty and a bit caramelly, not overusing the darker malts, an therefore allowing the clear hop presence, which is enough fruity and resiny. Maybe a bit chewy in the final.
I would love to try a version with paler malts, but it’s already very good as is.

In short: A sugary and boozy amber Double IPA with a fun fruity-piney hop profile. The good outweighs the bad.
How: Bottle 650ml, consumed relatively fresh not long after the beer release. Bottle sent to me by mcberko, thanks a lot Matt.
The look: A persistent small white head over a cloudy amber-orange body with lots of small particles.
In long: The hoppy nose is both piney and fruity and it is a fruity character that stands out from the usual citrus/tropical fruits. Here it is mostly exotic fruits, passion fruits, kiwis, papaya, gooseberries, and others as well as more standard mangos and grapefruits. In mouth the beer feels thick juicy with tickling carbonation. Taste has the same fun fruity flavors as the aroma along with pine needles, grapefruits and bitter orange peels. That’s a fun hop profile but there a few things I didn’t like so much. The malt backbone is elusive. The sweetness is too much residual sugars and not enough richer sweetness flavors of caramel and honey. The alcohol bite is too strong for an 8.5% beer. I liked the hop bill a lot but not the rest. This beer came with 3D glasses attached to the bottle with a 3D label, some crazy gimmick here, however this brewery turned down my idea of a beer bottle that can also be used as a rectal thermometer and I don’t know if they didn’t like the concept or my demo.
