3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, the sixth in our little Fest of Fall Beers. Very dark brown body with a 1cm thick beige head. Aroma is mostly roast and chocolate, maybe some vanilla too. The flavour is dominated by roast and chocolate, but given time, pumpkin can be found in here. Body is definitely on the thin side, with an acidity in the finish that didn’t help. Not bad, but not great either.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle to pint glass
Burnt malt and coffee and some earthiness, but I wouldn't necessarily call it pumpkin. There's also a slight alcohol aroma too. Not surprisingly, an opaque black with a thin ring tan head. You do get the pumpkin taste though, kind of like roasted pumpkin as it's a bit sweet as well. It ends with a coffee like bitterness. It's kind of thin for a porter and almost no effervescence. I haven't had too many pumpkin porters to compare this to, but I can easily imagine a better one. Below average to average.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours really dark brown with hardly any light coming through and a small tan ring around the glass. Aroma is spice(nutmeg, cinnamon, maybe ginger), chocolate, earthy toffee and roasted malts. Flavour is sweet caramel, spices(same as aroma), chocolate, and a mild bitterness.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear dark brown with little head. Aroma of chocolate, cocoa, spices(nutmeg, cinnamon) and pumpkin. Taste is chocolate, roasted malts and a light mix of pumpkin and spices on the finish. Nice pumpkin porter that isn’t too overpowering or artificial in flavor.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
650ml brown bottle. Deep brown pour, some nice creamy beige foam on top. Nose has some earth, choclate and roast and spicy ginger, clove and chocolate. Taste has chocolate malts, bit of earth and roast, mild pumpkin flesh, some mixed spice and ginger notes. Finishes with some chocolate and caramel sweetness and some ginger notes. A bit thin in the mouthfeel. Overall, enjoyable and a nice dark variation on the typical fall pumpkin beer.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle - Pumpkin, spices and roasted malts. Jet black with a thin brown head. Roasted malts, some light chocolate and a bit of spice. The pumpkin doesn’t really shine here.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pouring out a nearly opaque black with a thin beige head that settles quickly to nothing. The body has a slick almost syrupy appearance in the glass. Leaning in for a first smell I notice a mild pumpkin and spice combo of ginger, cloves and cinnamon. Beautiful roasted malts, toasted nuts and toffee balance out the spice in the aroma. The mid palate is sweet and syrup-like with moderately bitter roasted malts and an overlying vegetable like flavor. The finish is mildly bitter with a heavy spice and pumpkin taste that fades with the bitter finish.

650ml bottle pours black in color with a small beige head that leaves little lacing behind. Aroma is dominated by chocolate with a hint of pumpkin and spice. Taste is chocolate malt sweetness with some mild hop bitterness and some pumpkin and spice in the finish. Medium bodied with light carbonation. A decent porter.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
