Pours dark with mediun head foam stays. Aroma is chocolatey. First sip is watery smokey dark malts with a deep sweetness. Aftertaste is clean. Not bad. Clean finish but too rich to drink much of.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Lost souls chocolate pumpkin porter had a great name, label too. The beer pours a rich brown black with a firm head of tan bubbles. The aroma is sweet pumpkin and spice. The taste is more of the same, roasted pumpkin with hints of milk chocolate sweetness, but it’s rather thin. The taste is one note. The body is rather thin as well. Over all disappointing.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours clear ruby brown with amber-brown highlights, one finger of light beige head diminishing gradually to a thin skim, minimal lacing. (3/5) Nose is dark roasty malt, dark chocolate, light vanilla, faint spices and earthiness. (7/10) Taste is mild sweet, moderate bitter. (6/10) Light to medium body, soft carbonation, medium bitter finish with some acidity. (3/5)
Not getting much of the ginger and pumpkin that are claimed to be in here - but that doesn’t bother me too much, all things considered. Almost a vinous quality on the flavour, particularly as it warms, and some earthiness that might be pumpkin or just the Fuggles hops. Pretty much a straight-up porter with not a lot to distinguish or recommend it. Decent without being memorable or exciting. (12/20)

Dark brown with an off-white head. Aroma is chocolate, pumpkin, malt, caramel, pumpkin spiced. Medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel, slightly sweet on the palate. Taste is chocolate, caramel, nuts, hint of pumpkin. Not bad, mainly due to the very subtle use of pumpkin

In bottle ... nice aroma of chocolate and spice. Poured like a normal porter .. definitely tasted the cocoa, but the pumpkin was no where to be found. Overall a nice beer, but was hoping for more ...

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Chocolate/cinnamon aroma is striking but not overpowering. Pours like a typical porter, dark brown/chocolate in colour with decent head. Initial flavour is mostly chocolate with touches of cinnamon. Hard to discern any pumpkin, maybe just a touch of spice. Body is on the thin side, watery finish. Tasty but not remarkable.

Nitro, St. Augs. Medium brown, nitro head. Aroma is pumpkin, light cinnamon, molasses. Palate has more molasss, pumpkin, dash of alcohol. Finishes with a little chocolate syrup note. Delivers on its promises, which makes it one of the better P49 beers.

650 ml bottle. Pours an opaque, dark brown almost black colour with a small brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, vanilla and just a hint of pumpkin pie. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate, vanilla and pumpkin spice with a bitter finish. Medium body with a thin, watery texture and soft carbonation.
