Pours dark with mediun head foam stays. Aroma is chocolatey. First sip is watery smokey dark malts with a deep sweetness. Aftertaste is clean. Not bad. Clean finish but too rich to drink much of.

Poured from nitro tap. Near black with creamy off white head. Coffee roast and chocolate predominantly. Pumpkin and cinnamon very subtle in the background. Very creamy texture, could be the nitro.

Aroma of milk chocolate, cinnamon, and some nutmeg. Flavor was heavy on the chocolate, not so much of the pumpkin, and a lot less in the spices. The finish was very watery and thin which was surprising given the style and aroma/flavor. This coulda been a contender...

Black, Dense tan head. Smells like coffee, cinnamon, allspice and ginger. Taste is coffee and chocolate, coffee and some pumpkin pie spices - cinnamon, nutmeg, plus some more ginger in the finish. Hints of red wine as it warms. Not although there are plenty of spice notes in this, they aren’t overwhelming and blend nicely with the porter flavors.

650 ml. Pours opaque mahogany with a lasting ring and island of foam. Nose is char and smoke, pumpkin pie spice and touches of vanilla and cocoa. Tastes of charred peppery chocolate, earthy green herb, caramel, salty driftwood, some mild earthy pumpkin spice, and wafts of red wine and soy. No pumpkin to speak of, which is disappointing but this is still tasty. Medium-heavy body has a nice balance and a medium-high carbonation that stays mostly smooth. Good balance with the spices well-checked by the other flavors.

650ml bottle from Coop - Part of the October Discovery Beer Bag. Aroma is rich coffee malts, and burnt pumpkin seed, clove. Kind of an odd smoky bitterness on the palate that is only sort of balanced by the chocolatey coffee malt character you’d expect in the porter. Not much pumpkin flavour distinguished. Kind of a miss for me.

I was recommended this beer by a friend of mine! I would say it was very good! I poured it in my stein and it came out as a dark black with a light brown foam head! It has a good smell of spices and dark chocolate. as well which makes it a great Fall/Halloween beer. I do wish the Pumpkin flavour was a little more present then the spices and chocolate in the flavour though! All in all, Ill say this was a very good beer and a fun one to drink while handing candy out to kids on Halloween :)

Black body with a small tan head. 3+ Aroma is mild with a sweet malt base, very light roast character. Flavour is interesting, mild dark malt core. Light bitterness in the finish, interesting fruity character that is sort of pumpkiny. Chocolate touches? Smooth average plus bodied palate, soft carbonation. 3+ Nice, mild overal. On tap at Volo, Toronto
